Chronus Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 I'm holding out for the titanium 194 and the ETA 7753 PAM187 The slytech 202 is too similar in ways to the 187 but not as good... and the slytech name on top of that!
M5Man Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Nice - but $900 for a rep? Thats pretty steep in my book.
richard lawton Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Hi All I agree the price is high, but i've been very pleased with mine up to date it's been keeping excellent time. I like the fact that every one has a different number (mine is No 4/1000) and as other people have said the build quality is excellent. I think its like everything else in life exclusivity costs money!!!!!! Just my thoughts RICHARD
00-Aspire eshop Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Nice - but $900 for a rep? Thats pretty steep in my book. Yes,I think I will pay top price for Benz,BMW and luxury life for my familiy, but not for replica....even genuine PANER*I. 6497,7750,7753 movement? I already have too much such movement. Paul
Chronus Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 He's right there. You can get a RXW Plasmir Milgraph with ETA 7750 for just a few dollars more.
Dirk Pitt Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Sorry for the horrible picture I only have my cell camera right now but tomorrow I'll take some better picts, mine is 17/1000.
V Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Sorry for the horrible picture I only have my cell camera right now but tomorrow I'll take some better picts, mine is 17/1000. XaMas strap I see heh ?
Dirk Pitt Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Yep XaMas it is. I love their straps, huge buckle, thick leather and soft, only downside is price. On a side note I bought it for my fiddy but I like their 26/24 better on the 187 than the 127, the fiddy looks better with a vintage 26/26 IMHO. The 187 looks so much better with a tapered strap maybe due to it's more modern looks...
Watchmeister Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Okay, I give. That strap looks great on the watch and I want one or something similar. What is an XaMas? I have a bunch of Pre-V gens so it can't be more expensive than those, can it? Veni- Do you make something like it?
Dirk Pitt Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Strapmasters sells em @ $275: http://www.strapmastersusa.com/Merchant2/m...Product_Count=1 They are made by the OEM strap manf for panerai until 1997, strapmasters is the only US distributor.

If you want black and price is not a matter go for it.. I can DEFINATELY say the XaMas strap is AGES better then the Pre-V genuine straps....
Watchmeister Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Good to know since they are comparably priced. Still love my PAV 99 though. I looked at the website. The tan calf looks stunning. Buckle is cool looking.
