slai
I've never really been a fan of mixing PVD with a brown strap but this combination seems less objectionable to me...thoughts? Had to show off the PAV91 next to it. And here it is on the wrist.

rower
I could tell a lot better if you would send it to me and lat me wear it in a variety of lighting conditions. PM me for my mailing address! "Rower" PS: I'll even pay postage both ways!
fishgodeep
Works for me . -) .........always tricky PVD I find .....thinking about a nice dark chocolate shark myself......
tmg
Looks great to me Slai! IMHO a black strap is too predictable and tans too stark a contrast.

Ive always wondered with the black PVD coatings - are they very prone to being scratched off? how durable is the coating?

I am the first to give you praise, because your straps are AWESOME! But this ain't workin' for me, Slai baby. I find it's a bit like a beautiful black suit on a chap; you look down, and he's wearing brown shoes. Sorry.
slai
I find it's a bit like a beautiful black suit on a chap; you look down, and he's wearing brown shoes. Sorry. Those are strong words! Damn that section8 for hounding me into selling the 177. I need a 111 or 112 now to use my 24mm straps.

HauteHippie
I think that brown strap looks good on the PVD. But, personally, I like lighter straps that contrast with the dark PVD finish and black edge treatment and stitching that matches.
mastergod
PVD w/brown is good, but I agree with above contributors that tan is even better. Consider asking Savage about his yellowish/brown baseball hide:)

pizzanooo
I too have my favorites of a dark-red-rusty tan color for Pvd. But Like you picked up a dark brown or chocolate one. Could`nt find pics of mine now, but here`s the strap I have. Pic from Smat (Walters) site that I have grown to like. Really like the double stitch, and has actually gotten a bit darker with age. I guess you didn't catch my Wristie on the last day of August, Pizzanoo, where I credited you with selling me your Walter PVD strap. (Or at least, one of your Walter PVD straps. The strap in that photo doesn't look like mine) Well, here's a refresher: I think the Walter PVD with double-row black stitch, and PVD StrapCulture Yarrrr! buckle would rock anyone's world. pizzanooo
Hey vbarrett sorry I did`nt see that post, but hope you like it. Walter has some nice straps, His double stitch are very unique, along with his colors. Nice gentleman to order from, you do have to be savvy with his profession. Yeah, that SC Pvd skull buckel is nutz. I need 2 of those. Pizzanooo. Edit: The strap in your shot is the Golden sand. Very cool. I actually ordered all of the Pvd series from Smat. Only problem was, he was out and they sent a smaller size regardless of mail sent. Hell hath much fury, Smat made it up, and we are buds.
