pfff
seen on a french forum, a gen 1680 with a gen Tropic 19 : i think i'm gonna do the same with my mbw 1680, it gives a unique look, even better than a 1665 Edited October 31, 2007 by pfff
dieselpower
Mmmmm.... very interesting. I've always hated date magnifying windows which is why I haven't got a Sub but that makes it look really nice. 10 x better than a Sub with a window. Food for thought... eunomians
Interesting, but 5513 is perfectly balanced IMHO. In fact, 5513 is wholly perfect
Jetsons
I recently stumbled across a Tudor Sub with the Tropic 19 installed it also looked terrific. I asked the owner if he had any issues installing the T-19 on the Tudor and there were none. This is a swap I wouldn't mind doing to mine. The T-19 gives the Sub the much cleaner look of the no-date and SD. You can't beat "beauty in simplicity". Nice looking 1680!
Justasgood
I've done this with a few of my 1680's: Love the Dome!

Dizzy
my rolex AD guy told me that this used to be a popular mod 20 years ago.. guys would swap out the t127 for a t19 for the sea-dweller look.
Stephane
Wow, that is a interresting information Lonnie. But I agree with Monsieur Euno and Monsieur Yello, 5513! Seems weird to buy a 1680 and try to make it look like SD...why not buy a SD ?
