LordRasta Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 RWG, Mezzanine came up with a great idea of showing The Zigmeister how much we appreciate his tireless efforts by buying him a bottle of his favorite drink. The Zigmeister of course insisted it was not necessary but I persisted and finally go out of him that he would take a nice bottle of tequila. Slai has agreed with the blessings of Admin and the Mods to accept the contributions and get a bottle of $107 (USD) Patron. We are asking all who are interested in contributing to give $5 usd to the following PayPal, rwgforThe Zigmeister@gmail.com This account will be kept open for only one week and will be shutdown earlier if we meet our goal of $140 which is the product including shipping. Two things I want make clear to everyone: 1. Slai is not looking to take extra money for himself, this is why his personal paypal account was not used. 2. This gift will be from ALL of RWG. The Zigmeister will not be given a list of those who contributed and no such list will be compiled. This is our way to show gratitude for all his tireless efforts to post reviews, help with problems, and keep us pointed in the right direction. This has nothing to do with his paid services. Thank you for your time and contribution.
LordRasta Posted December 8, 2007 Author Report Posted December 8, 2007 Also, please use Service/Other on PayPal and there is no need to leave any messages. But of course we all know that. EDIT: Any additional monies will be given to Admin to help with the bills.
a german in denmark Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 I am not particularly fond of giving away alcohol for a present... I think, f.x. Yann Arthus-Bertrand's breathtakingly beautiful book "The Earth From Above" would be more appropriate for a guy like The Zigmeister (if he hasn't got it already). I mean, look at his paintings. The book is a keeper, the Patron will be gone once the bottle is empty...
LordRasta Posted December 8, 2007 Author Report Posted December 8, 2007 I thought rob did not drink? He enjoys a little taste from time to time. I am the same way, a nice bottle of Crown Royal will last me 6+ months, unlike my younger days when it wouldn't even last the entire night.
KB Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Well just to speed this up I'm in for $20 Ken

The book is a keeper, the Patron will be gone once the bottle is empty... That is a great book, and a great idea. I wonder if there will be enough to do both? That book does weigh in at 12 lbs and is HUGE, maybe too expensive to ship? Well just to speed this up I'm in for $20 Ken You would think that with all of the members that benefited from this man's posts, there would be no speeding up necessary. I'm making my donation right now.
slai Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Well, if there's a balance after the tequila, we can dropship...err...I mean conduct a full QC check by hand and waterproof with additional gaskets and O-rings the book via Amazon.
KB Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 By waterproof do you mean 'Pour a little in a glass with water and taste?' Ken
chrgod Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Great idea! His articles and contributions to this forum deserve a gift.
SubFrog Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 I'm unable to use paypal, but I think this is a thoughtful idea. I would have opted for a bottle of Glenlivet, 18 year old, single malt, however. Good luck.

a german in denmark Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 That is a great book, and a great idea. I wonder if there will be enough to do both? That book does weigh in at 12 lbs and is HUGE, maybe too expensive to ship? The book is 34,65 $ at amazon.ca... Shipment shouldn't be so expensive as it ships from within Canada, even though it weighs 9.6 pounds and is quite big....
FxrAndy Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Done, and i think the book would also be a great gift, lets do both
a german in denmark Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Done, and i think the book would also be a great gift, lets do both Done. Now, who is taking care of the book?
