Dear All,

Recently I started a thread looking for advices about straps for the IWC 3717.

Some very nice members gave me advices here.

I must say that I didn't follow most of them (I couldn’t afford all the nice suggestions at the same time).

I picked a very nice one from The Strap Shop UK.

A very good strap supplier in the UK

In the meantime, K2222 was offering a new run for AR coating.

Although I was a little sceptical when he started to post here a few months ago, I have to apologize now.

I do apologize

 :(

K2222 is not only performing great AR coating in the EU but also he is an incredible nice person.

You can follow his last run here.

By the way, US members, Chieftang is doing so in the US too

You can go for US AR here.

So, basically, the AR is great and I can't see why I didn't go for that before.

The watch behaves completely differently on the wrist.

That crystal which is disappearing is just amazing to look at.

I am not sure my photos show what one feels when wearing a perfectly AR coated watch, but believe me, it's truly different from the plain rep.

My conclusion is: go for it, you will not regret it!

@All: thanks for looking and reading.

Cheers

Stephane

PS: a genuine Eta 7750 is on it's way to EU and will be installed soon...

More pics soon.

Im curious, how much have you spent on this watch with all the mods plus the ETA movement?

@Stephane,

Congratulations excellent watch/strap combination.

Am considering buying same strap , question however : 3717 lugwidth is 21mm and your strap comes in either 20 or 22mm. Which width did you chose ? And if yours is 22mm did you had problems fitting (compressing?) it into 21mm lugs?

Of course a 20mm strap will give no installing problem but play (gap) of 1mm.

Thanks for your advice: Rikske

Stephane, thanks for the info...how much did you get your ETA 7750 movement??

The genuine 3717 here in my location is about $ 4000 and the fully modded rep will cost about $ 1000...

do you think it is really worth it??

Thanks again guys....

@Stagfan

This watch is not cheap.

It's going to end at around 1K USD.

But, again, the $ is so low that in euro is sounds better:

Great stuff Stephane, I was thinking about wearing my 005 to work today. but after this early rise out of bed, I think I am going to bust out my newly acquired black croc, and slap it on my 3717 and wear that combo today!! The 005 can wait another day. Congrats. I have all of the mods, less the AR at this time due to bad timing. But I'd be sure to hop on the next AR run.

Hey Rikske,

I got the 22 mm.

It fits without to much compression.

0.5 mm each side isn't such a big difference!

Get it in 22 if like me you hate gaps, even from 0.5 mm :)

Cheers

Thanks for your info.
