UB7, neither, especially if it's DUI. If it's something like minor speeding, then the 111h (overall, that watch looks best with the combo you chose, anyway).

Good luck, buddy...maybe the cop won't show up. :)

Followup: Wow, we're all saying the same thing. Trust legal proceedings to bring RWG together.

@UB7 below: If it's a very minor ticket, the Tissot. It's a good marque without being snobby. Still say don't wear any watch, or a Casio, even...

i was going to post the same as LR... timex ... casio ... wada ya wan,... you are portraying yourself as a working stiff not a leisurely phalanthropist... B) firstimpressions are to me everything and you don't want the first impression to the judge to be that of a very expensive watch.. IMHO :D

Good luck UB

If not the 111h, then the square watch on the bottom right. Sorry my eyes are tired from staring at a monitor all day, can't make out what kind of watch it is.

maybe none. My experience in traffic court (and I've been there pleanty) is dress smart and humble. Don't look slopy but don't be overly flashy either

This is good advice and I hope you follow it. With a long sleeve shirt either watch should be OK so long as you don't get "obvious" with it.

on the bottom row is the gen movado, swiss army, then the one you pointed out is a bulova..thanks for the opinions guys!

...I'd say all of them on both wrists...

Seems you can afford any speeding ticket (probably mine too? ) :D

Unless you live in Fashionville I sincerely doubt anyone would notice one of your watches, they are all pretty tame and I've learned from experience that the general public pays very very little attention to timepieces in comparison to us - the watch-lovers. Wear what you want... I suggest the one in which you feel most comfortable or one which has brought you good luck.

Oh, and I hope you weren't really speeding, because I have a really short patience for people who break traffic laws and think their high and mighty enough to get away with it.

Do you have means tested fines over there?

Everything depends on State to State here. I would be very surprised if there were such a thing in the USA, though, FxrAndy. It's up to the discretion of the judge (if you pay court costs, etc.).

I've always contested my traffic tickets...

Corgi - I already know the outcome of the ticket it will most definitely be dropped to a non moving violation and i'll have to pay a $50-100$ fine and thats it, believe me Corgi I too have little patience for people who break traffic laws after all(trying to be vague here because this is a replica watch forum) I do work in the criminal justice system but unfortunately, my M3 is a cop magnet - Not saying i'm high and mighty and get away with it but I was only going 8mph over the 65mph speed limit..here in NY going 10 over the speed limit to keep up with the flow of traffic (if your on a major highway) is 'acceptable' but i-95 just happens to be the biggest speed trap in the US

Nothing. Just go and be humble. I'm amazed that "which watch should I wear?" even comes up when you are going to a court of law.

The only person who will notice your watch will be the officer that is passing it back to you as you go through the metal detectors and entry-way search areas. Please don't tell me you are trying to impress them.

Good luck and don't let it happen again ;)

Got the swiss army about 9 years ago as a present..It's actually a pretty nice watch just very small

@Fxrandy - In NY we have a points system..Non moving violations like a tail light and stuff like you just pay a fine and no points get put on your license...A speeding ticket ( a moving violation) depending on how fast you were going is usually 3 points, you are allowed up to 12 points and than your license gets suspended and the points get erased every 18 months I believe..I have a clean slate- -0 points on my license, this is my first ticket in about 7 years

Got one myself at about the same time and it also was a present.. :o ... thinking about it the Omega would have been fine... shows a responsible person with a good job at least.. if you were an attorney .. then a Rolex would show you are a obviously successful at your profession ;)

if it's for going over the posted limit .. don't wear a speedmaster

if it's for a DUI don't wear bling :p

if it is for a bench warrant, wear whatever .. I'm sure the powers that be have already preordained your character...

I belive it is sweden that your fine is tailored to your income, low earner = low fine, So dont go to court with a low income and 20k in wrist jewlery.

I Googled, and it's that way in Finland too, apparently.

From a black friend once I heard she never goes to apply for public aid wearing anything but jeans and a t-shirt, with no bling at all obviously. Also true of unemployment insurance. I wondered what a bureaucrat could do, if you're entitled to what you're entitled? Ah well. :)
