alligoat Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 A TT with the flat 'S' in Submariner. WM9??
watcher Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 Yes it does look like a WM9 Sub. The flat S does not scream fake. My gen steel Sub has the same font from 2003. Very nice. Mine is due to be shipped this week from George(WM9).
snow75 Posted April 28, 2008 Author Report Posted April 28, 2008 Ypu guys really seem to know everythin It's from wm9
snow75 Posted April 28, 2008 Author Report Posted April 28, 2008 I'm happy with it. I inserted gen tube and 18K crown, because they were not nice. Also replaced the pearl with litle better one and modded the crown guards. Now I'm waiting for a gen insert
cib0rgman Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Does the watch suppose to have Lug holes?
watcher Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 I'm happy with it. I inserted gen tube and 18K crown, because they were not nice. Also replaced the pearl with litle better one and modded the crown guards. Now I'm waiting for a gen insert I thought the crown looked good!! I too have purchsed a gen tube, gen 18K Crown and Gen 295 crystal. I have a good aftermarket insert waiting too. Was the tube easy to fit or did it require drilling and tapping?
snow75 Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 Yes, it was quite easy to install the tube. But if had to be drilled and re-tapped. Btw. whats the case with the flat S. I see the same in a new -08 tt sub http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-SUBMARINER-MENS-...1QQcmdZViewItem
w.genzo Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Flat S comes both in newer and older models. Why did you change the tube, it has the same OEM specifics and fits perfectly a gen crown..
snow75 Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 this TT model dosen't have the same tube as the SS mode. WM9 tt models come with the old type of rep tube and crown
By-Tor Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Nice one. How much the gen 18K crown & tube were?
snow75 Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 Price was arround 200Usd plus 25Eur tax to Europe. The crows was new and still sealed.
dvn Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 How does this compare against Noob TT sub from Euro?
JoJo35 Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 I'm attempting to purchase a WM9, but to no avail I've contacted George last week as per instructions for a reservation, but still haven't heard back from him. Has he changed his email?
