LordRasta Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Saw it last night and I was VERY impressed. Of course the special effects were outstanding. Tony Stark wore a very lovely Bvlgari, what model I could not tell you. If anyone has a rep Audi R8 let me know. Word to the wise....wait till all the credits are done before leaving....
Guest porsche356a Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Going to see it later. Thanks for the heads up with the easter egg.
Watchmeister Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Thanks for the tip. Headed over with the kids for the 10 am show tomorrow. I will hang around for the credits.
Newdoc Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Really? I just don't see Robert Downey Jr. as a good superhero. Unless it were Crackman or DUIGuy or the like.... Maybe that's just me....
ratchpot Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 (edited) I saw Iron Man on Friday and it was a great movie. Robert Downey Jr's performance was excellent. Edited May 4, 2008 by ratchpot
chris5264 Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Cool,,,I'm looking forward to seeing it. I was able to talk my daughter into it so I might get a chance to go....how is it for the 4-5 year old crowd?
LordRasta Posted May 4, 2008 Author Report Posted May 4, 2008 how is it for the 4-5 year old crowd? There were some scenes with him shooting bad guys.
phaedo Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 So it is a movie then? Thought you were going to compete in the next ironman
Nebakanezzar Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 i think he was also wearing a big bang in the beginning of the movie
KB Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Am I the only one who's kid wont watch anything other than those animated (Horton Hears a Who etc) movies. Ken
SubFrog Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I'm watching it now...so, I took a screen shot of the Bvlgari Pretty good movie so far...a pretty good job by Downey...good soundtrack also.
TeeJay Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Really? I just don't see Robert Downey Jr. as a good superhero. Unless it were Crackman or DUIGuy or the like.... Maybe that's just me.... That's why he's perfect for the role: Tony Stark is an alcoholic.
sssurfer Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 The Bulgari is shown in full view at about middle movie, but soon after the beginning, right before Stark gets under attack by the bad guys in Afghanistan, I seemed to have a quick glance at a HBB too. Please anyone who is going to see the movie would check?
wombat247 Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 The Bulgari is shown in full view at about middle movie, but soon after the beginning, right before Stark gets under attack by the bad guys in Afghanistan, I seemed to have a quick glance at a HBB too. Please anyone who is going to see the movie would check? That's the problem with all these companies making similar watches (hublot, bvlgari, zenith, etc)... they all start looking alike from a distance. The big bang we think we see in the beginning is just the bvlgari we've haven't seen yet. If you saw the bvlgari first, you'd think you saw a bvlgari in that early scene.
UncleJay Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Well, seems Mr. Stark prefers BVLGARI. Both use the new in-house movement.
TeeJay Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Well, seems Mr. Stark prefers BVLGARI. Both use the new in-house movement. Awesome pics At a glance, one could certainly think it was a Big Bang... If I recall, even Fossil have made a watch based on the style.
Watchmeister Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Well that style seems to have netted the two owners (including our own RWG member) $175-200 million. I guess we all should be copying it.
ajoesmith Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 Saw it tonight and yes its an ok movie, special effects are good but you expect that these days. During the movie i was entertained but at the end of the movie i didnt have that reaction, you know, 'ohhh yeah it was a great movie', i just thought yeah it was ok, nothing to write home about just something to enjoy.
