alligoat
Very nice. Like the pie pan dial. And the vintage jubilee bracelet. Which movement did you use?

alligoat
"Tailor made hour wheel and cannon pinion" Does that mean taller so it will clear the hour markers? Actually, it's the minute hand that has to clear, right? Date overlay- is that with flat-top 3's or round top 3's? I've seen both on vintage Datejusts and Dates- Rolex wasn't always that consistent back in the 60's and 70's.

w.genzo
In vintages 160xx DJ I've only seen round 3 open 6 and 9 date font, not sure on 16xx series

southcoast68
Nice job!! I always liked the pie pan dial versions, welcome. I have a question on the hour wheel and cannon pinion, are those parts available from ETA as stock from Borel or Ofrei and are they difficult / easy to install. I have a couple franken justs with the hands slightly bent to clear, and I'd like to get back into them to do the job properly at some point. Thanks

freddy333
Now that is a fine piece of work. But, then, I am easy when it comes to vintage steel Datejusts. Welcome aboard.
w.genzo
I wish my first post was one like that.. The datewheel looks gen, is it a 3055 dw?
Guest porsche356a
Very nice project! Welcome to the forums Movement is a factory new ETA 2836-2 with tailor made hour wheel and cannon pinion. Seconds pinion was long enough. 1:1 date overlay used.

w.genzo
The datewheel overlay is not gen, sorry - but I believe it is an 1:1 reprint. I know, a gen turns in the opposite way. I asked because overlay open 6 and 9 date font are very rare.. I was luky to find one a few months ago. Great find
