andreww
Nice watch BT. I recently picked one of these up and am blown away by it. Easily one of the most accurate reps there is in both form and function.

Corgi
I have the same exact model. However, I prefer to wear my Chronomat Evolution because it's more shiny.
Cucumber_Jones
I love mine - it is rock solid. I am so glad I bought it.
lanikai
probably the best lume and dial accuracy out of the box.. Ziggy did mine but it didn't need luming .. the hands were painted a little closer to the genuine the crown is a must..oh and DW change... that's it.. I know it's not AR'd on the genuine.. but I couldn't help myself .. my crystal is in Cali at the moment being coated by ... yup.. it will have no crystal after the crystal returns
By-Tor
Lani, my SMP Chrono came with correct ETA datewheel, straight out of the box. Weird, eh? It was from the first batch when this rep came out. I believe chrgod got one with ETA wheel as well. Here is some additional photos of the dial and dw. Here is some additional photos of the dial and dw. it would be calssic to find out you got a genuine SMP .. i just couldn't look at the glare anylonger so needless to say for me it was not a matter of the crystal being accurate.. but about looking to "my eyes" SWeeet ! that snow i your pic looks really good right now with the summer heat !!! By-Tor
Thanks Lani. About the SMP chrono still... I'm always amazed of this watch, every time I put it on. It's an excellent replica, and deserves a place in the top-10 reps ever, imho. PS: Has anyone been successful to source proper replacement inserts for the SMP? I'd love to align the insert for mine. Someone said Silix have them... but I emailed them a few days ago, and never received a reply. I should get one for my standard Bond SMP too. lanikai
Agree with all .. wonder why the Omega reps are so good.. could it be the legalities with Omega as opposed to Rolex?? just a thought.. and BT by "insert" are you referring to the logo "feet"? By-Tor
and BT by "insert" are you referring to the logo "feet"? No no... bezel insert. Mine is still misaligned and I would love to have a few spares before I start experimenting with it.
casanile
Look at my broken one, I'm receiving slowly gen parts, Tomhighway will rebuild it early. I bought it one year ago from a trusted dealer and even after my bike accident it keeps perfect time. One little problem is the chrono hand which reset at 5 instead of 0. But it's definitely a keeper. SMP chrono Edited July 4, 2008 by antomarty
By-Tor
I often wear this watch with a suit. Of course it's not a dress watch (actually quite the opposite), but for some reason I like its thick appearance with white sleeves.

tanya
I believe this will be my next Gen. Seems they can be had for around $1700.00 in excellent shape with papers. Gotta have one. Thanks alot ByTor for corrupting me.
By-Tor
a must have, thanks for remembering my wishlist. =) is this available with double AR coating? Chino, gen of this model doesn't have any AR coating. Only the brand new gens, models from 2007 ->, the ones that have red Seamaster lettering have AR. So the rep is accurate in this regard. But yeah, AR coating probably wouldn't hurt. @Andreww: Silix can get the inserts. Too bad it takes days to get any replies from him these days. mars08
Stunning watch. Thanks. It has just pushed the orange bezel 42mm PO off my wish-list. Do the chrono pushers seem any more "waterproof" than other reps?
