V Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Well what do you fancy? BLACK or TAN..? Different styles and different philosophies I guess ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAHLER Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) Black is my color because Hell... is my skin warm as the heartbeat sincere as the pleasure when comes Hell... is the reason of my innocence the place where I know to be sure without the arrogance to appear Edited July 4, 2006 by MAHLER
dadog13 Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Tan all the way!!! //robi seems that we are in minority robi... well i remember a post at the old RWG where a member posted a PVD PAM with a lime green Hermes strap...it was wonderful...probably the best looking combo i have ever seen! and right for the summertime
V Posted July 4, 2006 Author Report Posted July 4, 2006 Wow.. never seen a Poll so close... VOTE VOTE...
eLiNK Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Frankly speaking, the tan strap is too much contrast. The black strap doesn't give you any contrast at all. I'd go for dark brown.
sevomd Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Tan gives it the old vintage look. Especially if you get that nice patina to a strap then it looks that much nicer. Eddy
mossanti Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) TAN FOR SURE..give you the contrasttttt really good ...where do you get the nice pvd buckle with logo ?? Edited July 4, 2006 by mossanti
V Posted July 4, 2006 Author Report Posted July 4, 2006 TAN FOR SURE..give you the contrasttttt really good ...where do you get the nice pvd buckle with logo ?? Got a Logo one and PVD'd it to Finepics.
cwai02 Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) Tan gets my vote. I prefer some contrast. You may get a black strap with white stich. This is my PVD. I like it, but it's hard to find a strap that matches. Edited July 4, 2006 by cwai02
exper Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Out of the two, the black but put me down for a brown as well. PVD looks lovely with the Vertigo light brown
kasigi Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 I've got that exact Tan strap, but expect people to call it orange. But stick up for yourself, reply "It's not orange, it's TAN". Tan all the way.
buckeye Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) the black looks a bit more finished to me...more subtle...... that being said...V you have put together a beautiful watch there. I'm sure you realize that there is no bad decision here......I wish Davidsen wouldn't waste his time with that pvd "slytech" he just posted and do what you have done here...congrats. jeff Edited July 4, 2006 by buckeye
Brian Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 I like the tan. It makes the watch stand out more & shows off the black PVD better. B
V Posted July 11, 2006 Author Report Posted July 11, 2006 It seems my wife prefers the tan too.. So when I find the chance and till the 40mm watch arrive, I wear it on the black combo
Craytonic Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 I like the tan, but think brown would be best.
pubus Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 tan gets my vote. I like contrasted things and at the fist look I thought... damn, so this is the gen 112.. WOW... and then it just occured to me its rep PVD
