mars08
I can't believe no one's mentioned my new favourite Seamaster which is begging to be repped: No, it's NOT the Bond LE. Take a closer look. Put simply, there are so many of the Seamaster range that could use a 1:1 case, it must make sense to make it Hi bigpops, That's the new red Seamaster. I suspect that's the one model which some people have heard "whispers" about. Apparently there's a rep in the WORKS. So you might be lucky. bigpops
It is, except this is black, not blue like the standard co-axial SMP. I hope those whispers have some truth to them. I like the catchy model number for it. It's 212.30.41.20.01.002. It just rolls off the tongue.

DirtyVader
haha. I also wish peeps would tell us which dealers have said so and so - instead of acting as if we were dealing in state secrets.
JBond
So, I post my Seamaster. The best SMP I have ever seen (except CG...). Any...questions...?
DemonSlayer
That one looks exactly the same as the one Silix offers. IMO the best SMP available right now.
DirtyVader
the only flaw with that one is the case. If you can source a correct case. You're all set.

The watch's case or the box set? As you can see I have a nice AR effect
DirtyVader
No no, just the case. As in the typical flaws we all know and hate (HE, CGs). Bracelet, dial and crystal look great

r2d4
J Bond that is a fine rep. You should wear it with pride. I have a couple of cases with acceptable crown guards that I am going to inquire about a service to micro weld the He Valve holes. Then I plan to redrill and mill a new hole for a gen valve, in it's proper lacation of course.

mars08
A very informative comparison of the gen 42mm PO and the SMP. In this case it's the 2255.80 model. Good detailed photos too. HERE
whitestripes
I'm just waiting until the factories come out with a new and improved "red" Bond Seamaster. Of course, it might be a waste of time and they might look like [censored], but then again it might be in the current fad of super reps and be outstanding. The dealers know about the interest, and they will sell like hotcakes. No need to bother with flawed reps when we know for a fact that a new version will come out, that will potentially fix them. If not, I can always get the current ones...
P4GTR
Just a heads up that the pearl is not attached to the bezel, just the insert on a SMP I recently got from josh.
whitestripes
Don't forget about the promised land! Only if they can fix the crown guards. That's the only thing that's stopping me from getting the old one.

mars08
Thanks for the reminder, f5mando! I'm "negotiating" a financial settlement with my ex right now. When it's finally sorted out I might treat myself to a gen blue SMP Bond as a reward. Lost a bad woman, gained an excellent Omega... sounds like a good swap. whitestripes
Either the old 2531 or the new 2220 would satisfy me. I just figure the new one would be more popular for the rep factories (I also like the applied logo, indicies, and the new huge hippocampus on the back. [/quote] Better than a good swap for several reasons, which include (but are not limited to) the following: (feel free to add to this- it could be interesting)! 1. It will never sag in parts (so it will always look good on your arm), 2. It will never: 3. Leave you, 4. Spend your money, 5. Sleep with your best friend (or anyone else without your consent), 6. If serviced regularly, will last you forever. *The 2531 will always be a more collectible item than its successor, the 2220 IMHO.*
