ironmarshal Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I had read earlier this year that a UN rep was on its way and would most likely arrive near the Christmas / New Year's timeframe. Does anybody have any idea on the status of this project? Are we still looking at getting a hold of some UN goodness before the year is out?
Shundi Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 UN would be fantastic...I thought there was buzz about one (Maxi maybe?) a few months back..
jot9011 Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I'd love to see the UN MM repped, but the older model with the seconds at 6 and PR would be hard to rep The 2008 model while more complicated, could be done with an A7750"
dadog13 Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 many of us are waiting for a UN super rep...
Corgi Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I would definitely buy one of the UN super reps, they are gorgeous gorgeous watches!!

As I remember, RobbieG was saying that they were repping a UN using an A7750 with a subdials at 6 and 9 layout. My guess is that we are almost certainly going to see the UN MMD Chrono. I would love to see them do the version you have shown, it's an amazing watch.
Samurai Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Heard its going to come out around end of the year...... Hont has pics of the original UN on his site.....I think that's the one being used to make reps. Cheers
unkindone Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 I always wondered why UN's were never repped...or attempted. They seem to be popular, and are damn sexy in any cause, more so then other rep brands Ive seen.. I would LOVE a Maxi marine SS + rubber black face, uhg...
zaly Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 (edited) Im waiting for a un rep too... Edited October 3, 2008 by zaly
drop Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 I've been waiting for this one for a while as well. Hopefully our patience is well rewarded.
Samurai Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 Here are some images from Hont's site of the gen UN being used to come out with a super rep:
fotoman Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 really? that one? - there has never been a decent seconds@6 mvt Rrr, i want the maxi marine chrono - but - i'll be a begger rather than a chooser
Samurai Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 You're right Pho....not a single reliable sec @ 6 movement out there. Maybe they will come out with a mod movement for this...as they did for AP ROO sec @ 12. Cheers
ironmarshal Posted October 5, 2008 Author Report Posted October 5, 2008 I've heard that there are two different groups working on UN reps. One is working on a subdial at 6,9 variation (most likely the MMD Chrono) using an A7750. I had also heard that a MMD was coming, but hadn't heard anything about which dial variations were coming (hopefully the black dial, not a big fan of the Blue Surf variation). The MMD will probably go with a manual wind seagull. I've heard the movement already has a working power reserve at 12.
