Rolexman Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 (edited) A seller in my country sells authentic Omega box sets for Euro 60,-... should I go for it? He send me this pic, can anybody tell me if it is a genuine set? Thanks! Edited July 19, 2006 by Rolexman
KB Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 I'm no expert but I am sure I have seen a gen in the same case and if it is gen 60 Euro sounds a good buy. Ken
V Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 It looks like a genuine one. My rep box is a bit different. You should see opened if the Omega on the inside of the box is SIlver or Gold.
Rolexman Posted July 19, 2006 Author Report Posted July 19, 2006 I will ask him to send me a pic of the inside of the box.
Category 5 Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 99% sure that's the genuine article...and a good deal. The rep boxes I have seen do not include the outer box, manual, and certification card holder as pictured. The items in the picture are identical to those that my gen PO shipped in.
KB Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but it's silver on the gen and gold on the rep case..........yes? Ken
By-Tor Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but it's silver on the gen and gold on the rep case..........yes? Ken Precisely. Well at least in my rep Omega box the text is in gold color.
Rolexman Posted July 19, 2006 Author Report Posted July 19, 2006 Thanks guys, I'm gonna purchase a set. If somebody else is also interested let me know.
ubiquitous Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Nice find! €60 is quite a nice price, especially if it includes all the extras pictured in that first attchment...
artoero Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Hi friend, arange me one with the genuine watch in it for 60 euro arthur
cwai02 Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 It's genuine. I have a few omega boxes. I got them for $30-$50 shipped on ebay.
TomBombadil Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 I could be wrong, but I think the gold omega lettering boxes are used for the gold watches, and the silver writing it used for the silver (ss) watches. I know Rolex does that too. It looks real to me. I think having the box is a great addition.

I know Rolex does that too. It looks real to me. I think having the box is a great addition. That's inaccurate. The box that came with my mother's SS Datejust had gold lettering. I recall seeing gold lettering on boxes that came with Subs, etc.

Perfectionist Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 Sweet ! Is that 60 euros including shipping ?
swdivad Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Nope... LOL...$100 for shipping in the true ebay spirit?
Rolexman Posted July 24, 2006 Author Report Posted July 24, 2006 Nope... he charged me Euro 6,- for a national shipment. Pretty sweet!
cwai02 Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 You may be able to get it cheaper on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/NR-MINTY-OMEGA-WATCH-B...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Red-Leather-OMEGA-...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/OMEGA-SEAMASTER-WATCH-...1QQcmdZViewItem

cwai02 Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Damn.. already bought it. Would love to get my hands on one of those warranty cards! I have a few of those blank white warranty cards. If you are buying the box for your PO, you should try to find a red card.
