seroberts Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 I have an 8.5 wrist....I've got one on order, i think it might look just right on me!
uhu0k Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 is this the one with the blue lume? Yes V2 is with blue lume on the hands
straight_six Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Are the endlinks correct 21mm width? Dean
youpmelone Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 congrats on the watch, have a lot of fun with it. Imho it still looks like anna nicole smith before the diet
Toadtorrent Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 It looks great. I'm starting to warm up to this one...even with my skinny wrists...
yaron Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Anyone knows if this is a final version or we expect a V3 before Christmas? This one looks very good, congrats.
Ztech Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Did they fix the crown guards on this version? I've been told that it's a glaring flaw? Great pics and congrats on the pick up.
Samurai Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Very nice watch and nice pics too. I wanted to order the deepsea but was told by a reputed dealer here to wait for the next version....which is supposedly coming soon....and with most of the glaring flaws fixed (and new ones added)
MADRED7 Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Only thing I need to know is: Is the bezel-engraving covered with clear coating ..... to give it a smooth feeling? Or do you feel the engraved numbers when touching the bezel??? Thx for letting me know, Theo
Krayfish Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Wow......thats a NICE watch...... Would love one like that!
Krayfish Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Looks a bit different from their original 1952 deep sea watch eh! 35789 feet waterproof.
Toadtorrent Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Looks a bit different from their original 1952 deep sea watch eh! OK...I thought the 43mm x 18mm dimensions on the Deep Sea were big...
yaron Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 This antique looks like 43 mm high.. Great picture.
fakemaster Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Must be a [censored] getting that under your shirt sleeve.
iceberg1459 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 i have seen the gen in person and i must say rep is very odd looking, cant explain exactly what is the flaw...maybe everything
stilty Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 is that just a plain sticker on the caseback?
again Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) i do not like it reasons: the bezel is no correct, the numbers are inaccurate and badly done the dial is horrible and the indices are too small the written on the back are too large in conclusio: HORRIBLE look at mine Edited December 6, 2010 by again
plaifender Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 i do not like it reasons: the bezel is no correct, the numbers are inaccurate and badly done the dial is horrible and the indices are too small the written on the back are too large in conclusio: HORRIBLE look at mine AGAIN, your watch is not the same model as in this post. Your bezel numbers look correct. You're 10 on the Bezel even looks centered., but it looks like you have a V5 DSSD. What is exactly wrong with the watch you're showing. Looks like a perfect example of a DSSD V5. The V2 shown in this thread is horrible. Your watch is nearly perfect..... why are you posting your V5 on a 2 year old V2 thread anyways????
PeteM Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I think he is referring to the OPs watch but hasnt bothered to look at the date or the version!! I think this got resurrected because of the Vintage rep posted after the OPs first post and its followed from that.... !!!
panerai153 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Pretty graphically illustrates how much this one has improved over the past 2 years. Must be the season for DSSD's About this time last year, it seemed like every other thread was about DSSD's. then in the spring, the DSSD threads disappeared from view, and almost nothing was posted until recently. I suppose some of this is related to the lack of "New' versions on the scene. Now they are starting to reappear. Maybe they hibernate during the warmer months!
