freddy333 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 I am better with vintage models & it is impossible to say with any certainty at that distance, but from what I can see (& with that type of pictures (distant)), it looks like a rep.
Tomhighway Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Well the bezel insert is not genuine and the date window looks big on the dial but it could be the camera angle. Dial printing looks a bit too white , but apart from that looks good to me!! TomH
richard_uk Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 The insert was the thing that alerted me, the pearl looks way off, other than that I wouldn't know, you'd think after all these years I'd have picked up some knowledge by now
iceberg1459 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 looks like modded rep..but im no expert
houndoggie Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 "SWISS MADE" font looks a little to bold. I'm going to say replica.
alligoat Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 The thirty minute tick separating the Swiss and Made caught my eye- I've never seen that on a gen.
honk79876 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Ups my first post ! This is an absolutly gen sea-dweller from 1999-2000!!! with lugholes!!! and for shure used Here is an picture for example Edited December 2, 2008 by honk79876
Omega Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 It's a hardly used gen...with nothing "off"...
Shundi Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 I say gen...take a look at the 5 minute indicies... they're no where near as bold on most SD reps... Might be the angle but it could be an aftermarket insert...I'm no expert though
southcoast68 Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Either a gen, or a nicely modded rep. Either way, can I have it??
gillorin Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 The thirty minute tick separating the Swiss and Made caught my eye- I've never seen that on a gen. That is one of the things I look for on lughole models as one of the tells it could be real It's authentic.
Justasgood Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Rep or real? I say Gen and insert is fine....Pearl is aged and has a slight crack.....maybe
