peyups
VERY Nice. I think A2M is a measurement of the paper or something.. But isn't the rep 28k HBB date font too thin? Edited December 2, 2008 by peyups
Francisco
Great write up, thanks A2M is the brand of paper or? Cheers D A2mweb.con is the place where i bought it. I am not sure about the brand of paper, because tehre is no brand. But, be careful, reading on forums some people are complaining about the quality of some makers. This paper is great. Francisco. Francisco
Great job! You could make some money on the side if you are interested in doing others, let us know. Cheers, M Thanks for the idea. I am considering offering this mod...well...which one? there are three mods here... rotor, regulator and decals. However, the three mods are a long work...not cheap... sorry And I am worried about customs problems if you are not in EU. Francisco.

Rolexman
Wouldn't a stamp make the perfect 'H'? ..... just make a monogram JPEG and order it on-line. Ordering and designing should not no problem. If you're scared they will know it's a 'Hublot' logo just order it in combination with a fictional company name starting with 'H'. E.g. 'Howdy financial services'. There are so many logo's in the world which have some resemblance. But I'm convinced not a soul would ever connect the dots between the 'H' logo and.... With a stamp and the right paint, you're all set But none te less Superbe job Francisco! Thanks for the time and effort put into this tutorial. You've got yourself an almost 1:1 rep

You've got yourself an almost 1:1 rep The H is engraved on the plate. Therefore, we have to use a material that has to be very, very thin to match as much as possible the aparience of the gen watch. Check the pictures when the H is separated using water. It is very thin.... decals are very thin. Francisco.

Francisco
Just an update about this mod. Lately I am applying a layer of brilliant varnish to the plate where the H is located, after putting the decal on the plate. Now, it is quite more difficult to detect the decal. Some pictures of a fully modded back: added regulator, ETA bearing and bolt, and H with varnish layer:

ubiquitous
A2M is the brand of paper or? You dirty birdie! Your mind is in the gutter, Dani... But mine is as well for knowing what you were implying Lately I am applying a layer of brilliant varnish to the plate where the H is located, after putting the decal on the plate. Now, it is quite more difficult to detect the decal. Excellent work, as per usual, Francisco! I would imagine that the varnish would also help protect the decal when cleaning the plates during a servicing as well, right? Therefore, no need to have to redo the decal after a bath in the cleaner during overhaul?
