PAM GMT upgrades, Lume and CG lever pin fix.

Nice watch overall, but as you can see in this close up, the CG is TERRIBLE...yeach, whoever thought that pin was acceptable needs to give their head a shake.

So a bit of lathe work, some filling and polishing, and you get a decent pin.

At the same time, the lume was improved with some C3 Super Lume.

Thanks for looking.

I want to get a PAM just for that lume!! What do you have to do to work that pin? I can't tell from the pic if it's sticking out too far. It looks like it's sunken which would mean you having to make a new one!!

Does this at all make the lever tighter? If not, what do you have to do tighten up the lever??

Great work as always R!!

Old pin is removed and discarded, top of CG is drilled for new larger pin, I then custom make a new pin on my lathe, fit it to the CG, then file and polish it down to blend in with the CG. It's perfectly flat and sitting at the same level as the CG. As part of the new pin, I also tighten the lever so it's not floppidy mopidy :)

That lume looks like a UFO if you throw it into the skies.

Great mod job on the pin and amazing lume as always.

Crap. I knew there was more to these mods than meets they eye. That's why the mods I'll undertake are limited to removing the Saran Wrap that the watches arrive in. ;)

Needless to say...it looks fantastic...and I'm sure functions like a treat too.

Great to know we have a spare parts manufacturer in our midst to fall back on when they become unavailable...only joking! ;-)

Excellent result, as always!

Unfathomable skill. a CG pin hole was re-drilled. A 1-point-something mm diameter pin was made from scratch. Then it was custom fit. No CNC. Do you guys know how much that would cost in the real world? Neither do I, but having worked directly w/ machine shops to finish franken projects, I can guarantee you'd be seriously considering just buying a gen guard.

This is Exibit A1 of how lucky we are to have The Zigmeister @ RWG!

Wauww, fantastic work. I' still trying to figure out the Pam rep. world - which mods are required etc., to make it look decent.

how did you manage to tighten the lever as I would presume that the level of "tightness" is connected to the pin? - Any specific mods to the pin?

Anyways, this post wasn't meant for you to reveal the secrets...foremost a compliment on the fine work.

your level of skills, abilities, and attention to details is unmatched, top of the line. Custom-make a pin and that amazing lume job. It's not a sandwich folks. A human can do that? OMG. It's like watching Mozart compose.
