offshore
Don't know whether this should be here, or "Humour" Just been reading about the floods up north, and was taken by this BBC report, sensationalising the croc situation. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7868854.stm In discussing Normanton, in the gulf, the story goes on to claim- A crocodile measuring 1.6 metres (5.2ft) long was run over by a car on a street in the nearby city of Townsville on Tuesday, wildlife rangers said. So I ran a quick Google maps to find- Driving directions to Normanton QLD 786 km
jonthebhoy
As I hinted in another thread Alan, which temporarily stirred up some emotions, on many occasions media people are experts in one thing only......sensationalism! What was that old line..."Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!" I would still be careful when putting the trash out though! Nanuq
A guy from Alaska and a guy from Australia are driving on the ranch of the guy from Australia and the Alaskan guy says, "This is an awful small ranch." The guy from Australia doesn't think anything of it and goes on. The Alaskan says, "My ranch is so big I can leave at sunrise and it takes me all day driving to reach the other side." The guy from Australia thinks for a minute and says, "You know, I used to have a truck like that too."

offshore
And the one in Townsville, would almost certainly be a little "freshie"; harmless little buggers...this one just out for an evening stroll. It's the bigger "salties", that are the real problem, but I doubt you would find one galloping around the streets of Townsville. Offshore
