you may get stuck with the senior cruise ... :wheelchair:

Sign up for the "May" cruise and not the "Gay" one during the same month...

as a side.. a friend from New York visited.. first thing he wanted was to be dropped off at the beach in Waikiki.. we dropped him off at "Queens" beach... you figure out the rest... :D

@Lanikai: You are starting to sund like kling, making no sense at all. I have a headache from reading your reply.

The cruise wold be fun, but keep in mind every rate is based on double occupancy meaning ether members would bring their girls or would share a room wih other members.

I have been on an 8 day cruise and it was too long. I could not stand to be on a cruise for more than 3 or 4 days.

We could aways just have poker night at my house. Same basic principles of eating, drinking, gambling but without the boat rocking.

I have to tell you and no offense to anyone that does, but I really despise cruising. I went on two and one was even pretty high end and I just didn't get it. I just don't like being cooped up on a boat.

Plus I'm not really a drinker to speak of, or buffet lover, and the casinos odds are rough as well so I have a hard time finding a reason to be on a boat like that.

It's just the cattle call aspect of it - muster stations before going out on Lido Deck - go here, go there, eat now whether you are ready or not, etc. Not my vibe really.

Personally, I would rather have people fly in, stay at one of say two hotels at different price points depending on what people wanted to budget then pick a spot and/or activity to do each day (visit AD's, dinner, beach, whatever).

.02 in a hundred words or less :D

i can hook us up on a cruise, but, what we really need to do is take the thailand to china cruise - in thailand we can have Neil amoung others take us on a tour

and then i forget where the port i in china, but its an hour trainride to GZ -then we could have josh, andrew, and whomever

take us on a tour

now that is a cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing with Neil unless it involves a hammer or a swift kick in the nuts. Or both. Jackass.

In contrast to RobbieG I love drinking, gambling, and cigars so I'd be all set... I've got a shitton of points with Royal Caribbean ...maybe I can cash something in...hmm.

Alaska cruise is also awesome during the summer!

Alaska cruise is also awesome during the summer!

now we are talking

the Caribbean is totally played out and their seas probably have more cruise ships than fish in it sometimes

few folks have been to Alaska so it ought to be fun to see a new place & reps along with the usual hedonistic pleasures to partake in :)

  • 1 month later...

How about just a one day/night cruise.

And we could organize something onshore before of after.

I used to have hotels in South Beach and could dig up some old contacts.

I know there is a larger vessel on Millionaire's Row, but we would probably need a large turn-out.

But I am sure with the current economic situation there are plenty of yacht owners happy to rent out their boat for a nice day-trip.

Doesn't have one of you guys a nice seagoing vessel?

I would fly in for that one.

Sail on crystal, you won't think any of the things you say above :). Cruising these days doesn't tell you where or when to do anything. muster is naval mandate. In fact, it's flying in somewhere with more than 2 people that is the - go here now headache. Trying to coordinate 5-10 people to do anything is a nightmare. Someone is always late yadda yadda. What I like about cruising is it's way less planned and more flexible way to travel. I do ALOT of family vacations and I love not having to see them all day ;).

I've also planned conventions and retreats and the headaches never end. 2 or 3 people usually manageable, beyond that, not good. :)
