Star69 Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 had a visit to the watch-repair-ferry again - saw some nice member watches and picket up 2 of mine - the Bulova is 41 years old - needed a donor movement for parts - but running now perfect the movement is as nice as a Rolex movement of that time and the dial is made by Singer the Squale had long and very hard 35+ years under the burning Sicilian-sun a lot of WABI - but at least its ticking again. mille gracie bello !!! Frank

jmarin.72 Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 I also have sent 2 watches over to Domenico(i mailed them yesterday, one UPO with stripped threads and one EXP II for gen crown replacement and cg's reshaping) and i got to say that even though i still haven't see his work, which i am pretty sure that it must impeccable,i am impressed by his communication skills. He has answered immediately to all my questions and he was very friendly and polite. He has definitely gained my trust. I will post pictures of his work when i receive the watches back.
sammalone Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Are German customs tough if sending watches from the US? Grazie mille! Domenico Come si dice "cannon pin" in Italiano?
Bricciola Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Ciao, It is in fact the German customs is a bit pallosi, however if you can it would be better to send only the movement. Are German customs tough if sending watches from the US? Grazie mille! Domenico Come si dice "cannon pin" in Italiano?

Star69 Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 just a little story to show what a nice fellow our bello is : i visited him on the weekend - we had a little GTG with Namor also but anyway - Domenico is building a franken DJ for a member here : the watch is finished - looks absolutely stunning - but Domenico ask me if i can gen a new white gold bezel for it - he made some tiny dents on it while mounting the bezel on the watch - i couldn't see anything - you see it on macro-pictures with flash - but still he wants to get a new $$ bezel from is own money ...... that's how he stands behind his service cheers, Frank btw - the member with this huge bad ass Breitling Chrono (new swiss heart ) - if you ever want to sell this watch - PM me !!!!
AMK000 Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 I've just realised that I was rather behind reading RWG. Knowing about Domenico (and having some "old" folks talking good about hiom) ...was a nice surprice. Welcome Domenico: and good to have you here. Having TomH and Domenico here, .... maybe I'll start buying 7750s again. His email is ??
DemonSlayer Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 Domenico does great work with fast turnover time. My Slevin has been with Rocketeer for around 7 weeks for crystal fix/repair and day/date wheels installation. I sent him an email (via his customer portal) on 14th April asking how the repair is going, or if he had any issues with the wheels installation (as the watchmaker who serviced it couldn't fit them on). I've not heard anything from Rocketeer at all. One of my UPO's which I sent in for modding to Domenico, was finished within 4 or 5 days of him receiving it: BEFORE AFTER
