This photo contest is an excellent idea, Lanikai.

Now i'm no pro, not by far, but i just happen to get a nice D-SLR from a friend, his old one he never used but to me it's more than great. I even invested in a real macro lens.

I took this photo as a quick snapshot with a Olympus D-SLR fitted with 35mm macro lens. No extra lighting or what soever, just a bit cloudy weather, adjust the white balance, point and shoot. Oh yeah... and the aperture set to F 3,5 so only part of the dial is in focus and the rest gets a bit blurry.
