Rigorously tone on tone for me:

... black on black...

... grey on grey...

... black with 'lume-like' stitching...

I even tried a bold stingray strap time ago (but now I've grown more conservative):

Cool thread. I really like a lot of what was posted. That super pale strap is nice.

I keep meaning to put together a couple new straps for my PVD but haven't really had a chance. I also like the red/brown colored straps on PVD.

For reference, here are a couple pictures of mine with some different combos I tried.

I also think that baseball glove would be nice as would football strap. PVD is my favorite so I am always looking for a new combo that I like. I just picked up some nice PVD buckles as well so I am itching to try some new combos.

Guys!

Thanks for the great pics/combos/ideas...

today my 028 finally arrived : http://www.rwg.cc/members/PAM028A-ETA2892-...rod-t98179.html

I kept it for a while on the strap it came on - replica MX series strap :

I switched then to a black stingray w white pearls (I don't have a photo!)...will try to make some additional pics this week!

Basically it is this one :

And here are some of my combos.....

PAM028 on gen dark brown croc

SlyTech BLACKSEAL on a MF grigio verde

PAM009 on a gen rubberrised calf

5218-202A on a DZ brown shark

....at the moment I prefer black calf with black stitch.

Enjoy your watch mate

Holy crap on a stick, thats an f-ing stunning strap - I am now sending you mind controlling thoughts to send that beauty to me......go on.

Have to agree tan PAV is a classic! Otherwise tan to cognac colors seem to pop the most.

Here's an inbound frankenstrap that I had Zack(Red12) put together for me -this will be going on my Pre-A 009.

I thought the new Dirk olive/brown shark would be nice but the color is too chocolate and seems flat paired with the PVD -just my 2 cents.

Beautiful pics! I just found this topic, while I was browsing for Pam straps.

I'd like to order a homage Pam from Getatwatch (www.siswatch727.com) or from Marina Militare (jacksontse).

Whar are your experience their so called genuine leather strap (the watch comes with)? Is it wort, or is it better to buy with a rubber strap (from getatwatch), and later buy a real gen leather strap from another dealer?

thx

  • 3 weeks later...

after a lot of combination seen I decided that the Simona Caramel PAV style would be the perfect choice...it was difficult to find one since they are sold out (missed one because I was thinking too much whether to get it or not...but I jumped on the other as soon as it was posted!)

Paid for it today - hopefully it will be soon with me!

Dani kind of inspired me to get that one after I saw this one on his 028A...
