I think it has a more modern feel due to the shine/gloss of the leather, but I seem to not be able to capture that very well in my pics I also have a Dark Cognac Europelli Cordovan that looks a lot more "old school", but still pretty dressy. Now, when I throw on the Vintage Caramel Cordovan strap, THAT's a friggin vintage look! But that strap has pretty much taken up permanent residence on my PAM 6521/1 1940's homage watch. In case it wasn't obvious, I really like Europelli Cordovan Straps. I'll try to take some pics of the 217 on the Dark Cognac / Gold Stitch tonight....
