Jaco Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Just received my White Carrera today from Josh, excellent fast service and this watch is beautiful - this is a big watch compared to my rolex subs. Here are some pics.
Toadtorrent Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 very nice. Does that have a tang buckle or deployment on it? That strap doesn't look too bad. How does it feel...or is it better to upgrade to a gen croc strap? Good choice on the panda dial.
ThinkBachs Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Great watch, though I'd change the strap- it looks too wimpy to me, needs something more aggressive, heavier, even if it's not a TAG strap...

relox Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 It looks great. Nice choice. I am thinking of getting a Tag, which I haven
MAHLER Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Beautiful!! But change the strap.... immediately
gliptopolis Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 Would be nice with a SS bracelet, too. Is it possible to get with bracelet? Great pictures!
Jaco Posted June 4, 2009 Author Report Posted June 4, 2009 Would be nice with a SS bracelet, too. Is it possible to get with bracelet? Great pictures! gliptopolis, - yes watch comes in either leather or SS bracelet, I should have gone with the SS bracelet and purchase a separate leather strap for it.
zzipy Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 WOW. Its a beauty, complicated without looking busy. Too bad I have small wrist to carry it off
koolkul Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 WOW. Its a beauty, complicated without looking busy. Too bad I have small wrist to carry it off I have the exact same watch with - same leather strap and I would consider myself as having small wrists but really once its on it doesn't look out of place. Agree - I aslo need to change the strap - any suggestions anyone as to were best to get one from?? Kul
coolfire Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Details on this one looks great, Jaco. Wonderful acquisition! Wear it well...
lanikai Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Congrats Jaco ! She's a beaut... Live Strong And Wear it Well A~C Lani
By-Tor Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Excellent. As you know I have a soft spot for white dials. This is really handsome TAG. Enjoy!
morlock Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Jaco, great piece you got, the white version is soooo elegant. Great choice. Great pics too, good skills. Congrats & enjoy it.
onzenuub Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 It's a real beauty, congrats and have fun having it on the wrist.
1watchman Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Beautiful watch... and I have to disagree, that was a great choice on the strap; IMHO, the strap does not look that bad. I don't think you have to run out and purchase another strap or get the ss band. The strap accents the watch without over powering it... (again IMHO)
ubiquitous Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 Very handsome indeed! Would love to see a size comparo between this watch and the average 16610 Sub
chir0nex Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 That looks great! i love this model, perhaps one of my favourite tags. Are there any flaws or tells to this rep? Looks pretty gen to me!
Jaco Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Posted July 5, 2009 That looks great! i love this model, perhaps one of my favourite tags. Are there any flaws or tells to this rep? Looks pretty gen to me! Well it's a good looking watch, I own one but here are the flaws I noticed comparing to genuine. The date windows is darker (dark grey on genuine , silver/chrome on rep), the red on the the watch hand are a lot more brighter on genuine, seems to really pop on genuine, lacks that on rep and lastly the leather band needs to be replaced - look plasticly and fake. Other than that it's a great watch and people notice this watch - nobody ever say anything when I wear by Rolex Black Sub or Rolex Blue TT Sub.
kayakman Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Well, beautiful watch, and I really like this strap. I'm considering buying the same one, so I have a few questions : - Did you buy it from Josh from "jpc1881.com website? - Is it 41mm or 43mm wide, as the gen? Thank you very much for your help!
Kronofan Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Great TAG!Thou the strap is quite nice, but something is a little out of it's place.imho that is.
Toadtorrent Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 gliptopolis, - yes watch comes in either leather or SS bracelet, I should have gone with the SS bracelet and purchase a separate leather strap for it. You would still need to get the deployment for it anyways. It's actually best to get both options right off at the start to avoid high relative shipping costs JUST to get either a strap, bracelet or buckle. - Did you buy it from Josh from "jpc1881.com website? - Is it 41mm or 43mm wide, as the gen? The Day Date Carrera from Josh (jpc8118) is the big size...not the smaller older version that was 41mm.
