  1. I really want to get a Belstaff Sammy Miller replica jacket or a Belstaff Trailmaster, but really don't feel like paying $800 to add another jacket to my wardrobe. Anyone have any experience with replicas? How is the quality? Replica clothing is a whole new world for me, and not one I'm very comfortable with. Thanks Cheers, Jason

  4. That's very nice that you have Gen 111. And based on that what I'm going to say is purely personal preference and what I would choose. PAM 000 - Since you own gen 111 getting 000 does not really make much sense since you are not getting something that "very" different. PAM360 - I would disagree with your "what a rep" statement 100%. I live in a heavy Panerai owners area where I can sometime run into up to 3-4 people wearing one in one day in a worst case. Bunch of people wear them at my work, all gens. In past 7 years I never had "is it real"? question come up. Even after letting some people handle my 111 or Black Seal rep. There is really 99.999999% chance someone would ever question 360. Regatta 286 - That design is super nice, it's 1950 case, not radiomir. I had one which was the 1950 from back 2006 until my movement broke for a second time and my synthetic sapphire glass got so scratched I threw it into trash. So if you can get one with sapphire glass and hopefully better movement then what they were back in 2006 that this is a nice choice. This watch has a different case shape that just wears really well for some reason. Black Seal 380 - I still have one that I bought when they first came out, old Eddie Lee rep from I think late 2005 or 2006. I only wear it few times a year. The biggest issue is the metal they use for the crown threads, it will wear out and the watch is trash. Cheap asian, some worse material they could find. I believe they are still like that, so getting that 380 could be a risk. I think my Black Seal may probably have 50 winds left at best. So if you wear that every day it will be gone in 2 years or so. I would be surprised if they use better materials for the threads. Someone here may know that much better then me. My choice would be 360. Regatta is super sweet too but I'm not up to date as far as how that rep has improved since I had it. Hope that helps.

  5. FFS. Its not the QC pics that are the issue here! Its that they are posted on fora asking for all the world to comment on them. It's "Who has the best sub" all over again, but in 3D.... for all the Gen Y'ers to have someone else do their work for them. No wonder the dealers don't want the stuff up on the forum..they would end up waiting for a month until the survey of all the 'experts" on the buyers forum have had their input. Maybe someone can start a 20 question poll, on the QC pic of their $99.00 special. Now wouldn't THAT be special! If you have a QC pic supplied...LOOK at it....make your OWN DECISION about the watch....do your OWN HOMEWORK...amazingly you may actually learn something from this process and become a more knowledgeable watch person because of it...or not! Offshore.

  6. not really needed. The AR is good enough as it is. It doesn't photograph that well but it doesn't bother me either. I stay away from gold reps. The color, weight, etc just creates for too big of a nightmare to deal with. I bought it from Tony at asian7750 (like most of my watches). But you need to be very specific on the movement (send pics) and make sure they get the correct one.

  7. Mine arrived last week, the thickness is 16.2mm not 19mm. I'm very happy with it. Looking forward to purchasing more Tags.
