  1. So, I would like to purchase this watch here: http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=35_52&product_id=566 Unfortunately, torobravos has a policy which will not allow me to use PayPal for my first purchase. I understand why this is, and I know he is a reputable dealer, so I decided to use my CC. Unfortunately, his checkout page is not encrypted, and I'm not going to enter my CC number over a connection that anyone could snoop. I've sent them a couple of emails, but it doesn't look like we're going to be able to work out a deal that suits both of us, which is too bad (I really don't want to send cash). I've looked at all of the dealers in the TD section (well, those which still have valid links), and I cannot find the watch I am looking for. So, short of someone knowing some way for me to work this out with TB (seems unlikely), does anyone know where I can find this watch? I also looked at trusty time, but he doesn't have the noob version.

  2. With the release of this watch, albeit limited, I would've thunk there would be at least one review... Is there no excitement or love for this exciting release? Or are my expectations too early?

  4. Don't think I've ever ran across an M3x.35 thread repair insert before. When I have worked on cases with a messed up tube hole I've JB-Welded the tube in. If it was a high-dollar case I might be inclined to drill and thread larger, epoxy in a "plug", then drill and tap it to correct size.

  10. I don't think I've ever bought a rep without having a few beers first. Here is my patented rep buying process: 1. Get the itch several months after my last rep purchase 2. Research the heck out of a rep, burning 5-10 hrs on the forums 3. Get lost in the minutia of the merits of version X vs version Y vs Gen 4. Get discouraged that the date wheel font is off by .00001 mm vs Gen on the numerals 6 and 9 5. Throw in the towel and decide not to waste my money 6. Forget about it for 2-3 weeks 7. Have a couple beers, remember the watch, grab my laptop, buy the watch on the spot 8. Repeat in 6 months It's not a terribly efficient process, but by God it's gotten me a nice little collection over the years!

  11. "as with the Nautilus everyone pointed to the SW200, is there a Royal Oak equivalent?" Hi, Yes, there is the recent 41mm APRO 15400 with the Myota movement (3 screws in the center of the rotor). From the replicas it is the thinnest, the movement is said to be the best, it certainly has the best engravings on the rotor and the movement as well (not gen-like but vey nicely made). It´s got the best made logo as well. Now the bad: specifically in this best model (and expensive +- $440-470) it will be very difficult to obtain a sample with well aligned 12´markers and logo, either one or the other or both always seem slightly off. Bracelet and clasp are very well made and engraved imho. Last December I got the next best one it´s the version from BP maker with swiss ETA pictured below (thickness 11,7 mm) that normally had them well positioned, comparing both the new is worth the price difference, but be prepared to take a long time looking at qc -pictures and not even most TD´s will be happy in showing 4 or more samples.. Other versions of this Genta-design I don´t mention because imho they are way inferior. The only serious contester/ or consideration would be to get the APRO Diver V5.1 or 6 for now.
