  1. I know same old...I am so happy with the way this project turned out it is hard to grab somethings else. Not a bad pic considering I was doing 80mph when I took it.

  2. Gents, I'm proud of you for the way this played out. Sometimes it's good to blow off steam, sometimes at someone's expense, and it never hurts to take our own pulse along the way. So we've probably seen the last of Fluffy, and we kept ourselves from taking ourselves too seriously along the way. And my windows are still fogged up from the steam. Thank you for, as always, being the "bigger ones" in the controversy. And, msm1 is well and thoroughly banned as of 10 minutes ago. Stick a fork in him, he's done.

  3. This also shows how decent and mentally stable the moderation team and members are here. Instead of throwing someone in the brig for a public stoning to get everyone's rocks off for being a pain in the ass or belligerent, they offer a cool down period. Thanks for staying human!

  5. Hey Guys, Just wanted to share a new pickup from TB. I picked up a custom strap to go with it. I picked up the 616 because I thought the deal was very good. Frankly, I was about 50/50 on liking it when I ordered it. Now it's one of my favorites. The carbon isn't as visible in real life as it is in pictures. Anyways, I just wanted to share with the rest of you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. So, over the last two weeks I have been selling off a few gen pieces on Watchuseek to build some funds for our lovely hobby, and took in a few trades as well to keep the collection ever changing. I managed to get my hands on a quartz 1000m diver from Deep Blue, the Sea Quest, in their red metallic sunray dial, and am very impressed with the overall build quality (having not owned a Deep Blue since their budding days, just before and around the time they started showing on ShopNBC). Anyways, back to the reason that I am posting this in regards to the JLC Navy Diver... I noticed that the lug positioning on this Deep Blue is VERY close to the case, and it reminded me of how tight of a fit there is with the JLC, so I decided to see just how well the black caoutchouc strap could work. Lo and behold, the strap fits almost perfectly as any semi curved leather strap would fit on a JLC like this. Though it does not fit exactly up to the edge of the case, it is tight enough to hide any major gap between the strap and case, and holds very nicely underneath the case due to its' design. I do not have any picutres of the fit right now, but will snap some tonight and post them for any curious NSD owners looking for a nice alternative to the straight edged caoutchouc straps out there. Have fun!

  8. Some of you guys have immense talent. My hat is off to you. It's amazing how you figure out how to do things. I guess the old saying, " if you want something done right, do it yourself " applies here.

  9. I think it's more the "how" than the "what"… or rather the "how many times can you say the same crap before someone's eye begins to twitch"! Yeah, that one! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. When I got into computers, hackers were pretty much all 'peacenik', hippy types, who appreciated the liberty & freedom that hacking provided. But not anymore. Today, it is not just pickup-driving, bible-toting conservatives who are into guns. The new generation of hackers have found that guns & shooting equates to personal freedom & liberty -

  11. Iceburg maybe you do, that was a joke everything I wrote was pretty much tough in cheek in this thread. I get a kick out of him and know him from other boards & actually came to his aid when he was getting beat up trying to sell an Invicta next store. It is all good he will be back and hopefully join the group talking about ALL watches and have fun, I wrote him that by the way.

  12. I use a Canon Pixma MG6120 printer, which is now a few years old, that cost me $100 brand new. It is supposed to be capable of printing as high as 9600dpi. At the highest setting printing on decal paper it made ink puddles. I then backed it down until it made the best clear, crisp print. In the area where the script says 'Submariner', the look on gens I've seen is more 'gilty' than the rest of the script. Use a fine scotchpad on the rest of the bare brass dial, and use a coarse sandpaper in a swirling motion just where the script will be. The coarse swirls will have that 'gilty' look through the clear decal paper.

  14. Here is the kit I have set up for mine. The traditional Tudor stripe, leather NATO, Jubilee with old gen USA big crown and rep 71n end links, 7836 folded link with WSO 580 end links Tudor buckle from a m2m sale. The folded link and Jubilee get the most wear. I think the jubilee has the greatest gen feel of the bunch! A few more...

  16. what da Bug sed... If it seems too tight better to sand off a couple thou than crack a gen crystal. I size the bezels to the Clark T22, never had a gen to compare.

  17. Quick heads up: If you're going with the T22, the inner bezel ring may need to be shaved down a bit to fit. GL! Thanks for the insight. I should know in a couple days. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

  18. Good decision IMHO. While he can be irritating, I can chose to avoid his posts. My position on this may be in the minority and that is OK. I have followed some of this and it struck me as sad and funny at the same time. Working in behavioral health all these years and still a licensed clinician I have come to some conclusions I will keep to myself. I think this decision really shows what RWG is all about and what makes it different and special.

  21. Yes ! Vector drawing would be better. Do you know where I could find not painted dial for ETA and DG ? I'm searching a good high res picture of a 5513 gilt dial. Without success for the moment. A Bart coronet would be nice. Center hole cutted Hands on
