  1. Dear valued members of RWG We would be launching some awards for deserving members of RWG. Some of these awards are given annually, and some would be given as and when recognition is earned. The awards may be displayed somewhere on the winner's profile, we are still working it out. Also, the winners in some categories would be decided by polls, and some decided by members of the staff. We are also working out possible prizes for the award winners. Let us have a look at them in brief: Annual awards 1. RWG member of the year Given to the most outstanding member of the community. Nominations and the eventual winners would be decided by members of the community, through a shortlist and poll process. The voters might also stand a chance to win prizes at the Member of the Year raffle (participants have to first nominate/vote at the event) 2. RWG rookie of the year Given to the best rookie. The shortlisting and judging process would be similar to the member of the year winner. 3. RWG crew member of the year Given to the best moderator as decided by the community. 4. RWG rep watch of the year Self explanatory, same shortlist and judging process by the community 5. RWG dealer of the year Decided by the community as usual. 6. Watch modder of the year Vote for your favorite watch modder/repair smith and stand to win prizes. Event specific awards These awards are given out as and when they are recognized. There could be prizes and accolades attached to some of the awards. We are still working this out. 1. RWG Excellent watch review award This award could be given to the reviewer of any watch for an in-depth, brilliant, knowledgeable or outstanding review post. The RWG crew would confer this award as and when outstanding effort is recognized. 2. RWG Outstanding member award This award would be conferred upon a member who has contributed significantly in one way or another to the community, gone to great lengths to assist or support a worthy cause, or another member, or has been exemplary in conduct or contributions for the rest of the community. 3. RWG valued veteran member award This award recognizes the contributions of long-time members who have been around, stays around, and makes useful contributions to the community. **New lounge in the community We have the paying VIP groups in RWG, and now, we would be launching the RWG Elites Lounge. This lounge access is given only to trusted and proven member of RWG regardless of membership subscriber status. What lies within? Well... there is only one way to find out. Lounge access is by invitation ONLY.

  12. Thanks nikki, my bad for not including a link to the thread. Like nikki said, everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions, likes and dislikes about watches they own/owned. Everything you share helps other members make decisions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. My wife has said for many, many years, you should have been a lawyer instead of a doctor!! I have always been of the old south school of writing whose cardinal rule is "Never use ten words when a hundred will do"!! Just in my DNA I suppose. Heck, If it was good enough for guys like William Faulkner, then it's good enough for me. My dear friend, thank you very much for your kind words. As I said, I'm going to write another review basically what I like and what I dislike about the LW. It's got some nice features and pluses, but it's got some minuses as well. Since I'm only talking about one watch, I will try my best to keep it concise and on point. Stay tuned!!

  16. One thing Joey B talked about was taking a Perfect Clones 1655 case and taking off the crown guards- file them off and repolish that side of the case. The 1655 case will take a T-116 and then all you need is the bezel and the bakelite insert- maybe Joey could help you with those. Or you go to Phong for the bezel like DLF said. At that point you're down to a dial, maybe a small GMT hand from rafflestime and also the Mercedes hands. Joey used the DG3804 movement that came with the 1655 on one of his builds. The only other thing is the datewheel overlay- don't know where you'd find a correct one.

  18. Has been a while since I have ordered a watch...Mostly Rolex but this time I could not resist. It's not that I am a true LW fan, but this carbon/green combo is tha BOMB! Again as always the transaction was smooth and fast, Thanks Andrew! I am not the guy who places detailed reviews regarding specs etc. But I do like making pics. Pics often say more then words, I guess that's true indeed. Some specs from trustytime; Made with Genuine As Sample 1:1 This is an ultimate version from the V6 Factory and entire case kit and ceramic bezel was 1:1 copied from the genuine piece which was dissected apart. MOVEMENT: Asia 7750 Valjoux movement (28,800bph) CASE DIAMETER: 44mm X 46mm THICKNESS: 15mm DIAL COLOR: Black Dial, Superlume Markers and Needles CASE MATERIAL: Full Forged Carbon case BRACELET: Kevlar Woven Strap with PVD Tang Buckle FRONT GLASS: Sapphire Crystal, AR Coated (Swiss Standards) BACK GLASS: open Case back BEZEL: Ceramic Bezel CLASP TYPE: PVD Tang Buckle Ready for the pics... Let's go!
