RWG TURNS 1 YEAR OLD! Please come and join us in celebrating RWG's 1st Anniversary, we have a fun filled day planned with prizes being handed out on the day. We want to have a great day to celebrate our birthday so we are planning a host of things. We could have an all day Auction where you sell almost anything (but watches), we may have a special thread where you can tell your favourite.......or most despised.....Admin member what you really think of them, of course you know he may have some choice words about you too! We are putting together a lucky dip to be drawn by Thomas, with the prize being a watch........What watch?.....depends on the ticket.........good watch?........depends on the ticket.......watch works?..........depends on.......err sorry all watches will be in good running order. Reps for sure... Canal Street? Sesame Street? Or the latest invogue rep... who knows... and you won't either, if you don't join us. We hope that during the festivities that we manage to do two things (1) Break the most members online at any one time record and (2) Break the most members online in a day record, to this end everyone who logs in on this day will automatically go in the draw for our major (free) raffle! We will also be offering the chance for a years VIP upgrade to one lucky ordinary member,all you will need to do is tell us why you deserve to be made a VIP and the best post wins! Evenin', gents. Fine evening....Reformated my computer and reinstalled every program and it's like having a brand new computer. To the prize issues: I sent all the winners info to king, but apparently she has not gotten it. I will contact her again and inform her of the three winners and their adress. When it comes to choice, it seems I have misunderstood the terms of kings involvement in the lottery. She would donate three asian models of her choice and would send a surprise asian movement watch to the three winners. @Joe 1. Can't seem to find any e-mails from you lately. Either it has ended up in my spam-filter (unlikely) or I have accedentally deleted it along with some messages (more likely) or it has never reached my computer because of the server problems with the RWG server (also likely) 2. I seem to have been a bit fast on the trigger when it came to one of the prizes. Narikaa told me that he would sponsor a lottery, but this would have to be at a later stage because all his clearence items was gone when he left for his travel. Pugwash is of course correct. The CPU is a minor issue on a site like this, but lack of memory if what really slows the server down and makes it crash now and then. So to be sure (and because of our generous donors) I am purchasing a 2 gigabyte upgrade. I have alo said this before, but if I was to go into the hosting industry I would definetively start an offshore hosting company. With the prices they charge on all their equipment (like the memory upgrade) and the bandwidth-charges, it has to me a lot of money in this industry. Especaille when it took me several years to find a good company. Oh well... again, thanks to all of you who make this a great place to be and especially to all of the VIP members and donators. You keep this place alive! T

Jeez....A guy can't leave the house for a couple of hours to spend some time with his family without you donating more than enough Guess I'll be going for the 2 gigabyte upgrade then. The upgrade is already covered for with tonton and pho as the biggest contributors with $197 and $200 (I'll engrave your names on the memory chips ) Another 6 members donated via donate@rwg.cc and 10 more members upgraded their memberships to VIP. 3 members also upgraded from apprentice status to member-status. I wish I could be there to shake your hands and tell you how much I appreciate this. We have so many great members her that makes being an admin here a pleaseure (most of the time ) thanks you all for you generosity!! T

As most of you know, the RWG server has been quite unstable for a while. I've monitored it for a long time now and the problem seems to be that the server is running out of memory. Kinda ironic, since we all ask the members to use the search function and the search function is one of the things that use most of the memory and the processor. But all in all it is because RWG is a very popular forum and we have a lot of members who use the differet functions we have here + we all post, read and search. Basically, almost whenever you click a link here at RWC, some of the servers memory and processor power is used. The server has been running fine for a couple of days now, after I disable some of the more memory intensive functions and removed the ability for non-supporting members to search as often as they want. But it is obvious that the server needs a memory upgrade and for this I will have to ask the RWG community for some extra financial support. We'll be upgrading the server with 1 more gigabyte of ram and there is a one-time fee of $197 for doing this. RWG does not currently have funds available so we are asking our members to help us fund this upgrade. Primary we would like our non-supporting members to use this opportunity to upgrade their membership to a VIP membership or donate via paypal, but we will be accepting donations from all members to be able to go through with this upgrade as soon as possible.
