  3. As I said I hadn't included the site preparation (or the garage for that matter ) so all in all not far away. I'm guessing building costs are slightly higher in Norway as well. Jeez........don't you need a mortgage for a pint of beer??? JTB
  4. Yes doc, I think you're right. Will do when I get home and he doesn't get used as an avatar again until he smartens his ideas up! JTB
  5. .........and the Welsh know how to take a tumble too. JTB
  6. Hi everythingape, I'm a quantity surveyor in the UK (local authority). Your outline design looks fine but more detailed working drawings would be required in order to properly cost this project. Having said that - if this concept has been built before then you already have a step for a hint regarding the cost. I don't know how building costs in Norway compare to the UK and also in the absence of any materials information I could only give you and indicative cost to build this in the UK. We’re looking at a floor area of approx 260 sq.m. (not including garage). Also not including land preparation (there’s a hint of cutting in to a hill on your sketch) I’d say you’re in the region of £100,000 - £120,000 to build. If you were to build it yourself then this will reduce labour costs considerably but plenty of blood sweat and tears. JTB
  7. When I saw that Lubos Michel was refereeing tonight I thought "Oh dear that's Man Utd with a goal of a start" and whilst they didn't score first the peno was a disgrace. Lubos Michel was our referee in Seville and looked on as Porto dived all over the place. Gravesen giving the ball away causing the 3rd goal was unforgiveable and although Man Utd had a heap of other chances - we had chances too. Disappointed that we didn't take something from a game that we deserved to. It ain't over yet. JTB
  8. My advice was, as ever, well intended. I was merely suggesting that it would be a wonderful gesture and affirmation of his love for her, were he to bestow upon her both presents. You my young man have a mucky mind! JTB
  9. Instead of giving her one........ ........give her them both! JTB
  10. Sorry Ken - I was meant to get back to you about this.........and never! Indeed you should be able to acquire some in Oz. I've been told that it is available there. JTB
  11. 2 hours and 15 minutes to go. Place your bets gents - you could win enough to get that super-dooper 187 you've been hankering after. JTB
  12. Have you looked at page one of the thread lately Rico? JTB PS - Who are you plumping for? (insert name of clean Italian team here)
  13. Fraid not my friend. There's the group stages first and then the knockout phase. Final in May sometime. JTB PS - Think of the interest that the money can accrue for the board!
  14. We surely will do Ken. The compo will of course last approx. 7 months so don't look for a winner any time soon. JTB
  15. Okay doc - makes sense. Deadline extended to 19.45 pm UK time everyone. JTB
  16. Bob - I had this image of you doing the "Townshend" with the F50 swinging above your head and then "CRASH!" as it hits the floor and breaks up into a hundred bits and then you gathering up all those bits and patiently reassembling it back to it's former glory AND it sounding sweet as a nut when you did so. But somehow I think the Nanuq we know and love with regard to the rep-testing is not the same Nanuq with regard to guitars. (Reminds me of John Hiatt's dig at Pete with his song 'Perfectly Good Guitar') I was always told about guitars - Look after them and they will pay you back in spades. Now I do get satisfaction from my watches but this is nothing like the enjoyment and fun that my guitars give me. There is just no comparison. Enjoy the F50 it will grow with you. I can hear it now with a nice new set of Elixirs. Sing baby sing. JTB
  17. A nice introduction to yourself. Have a good wander around and read plenty. You are very welcome. JTB
  18. Only 2 hours 45 minutes to go. Still time to earn yourself a nice prize and help RWG in the process. JTB
  19. I'm at a loss. I don't know why I love watches, I just do. Always have. Guitars also - although it's genuines in their case. I think I'm cracked. JTB
  20. Okay........I've changed my mind.........I'll go for Woj now!!! JTB
