I like you kid. Your are honest (by saying that you want to sow your rep as gen) and also clever and mature enough to realise that a 3000 USD (face value) watch is neither for your age nor for current income.

The Technomarine you have choosen is really a great watch and it lloks very nice in person.

The 380 USD price is also very good.

You may also consider the TISSOT brand or ORIS (if you add a bit more) .... but TechnoM is a great choice.

I'm thinking about removing the back of one of my Gens just to see the movement. Anyone done this regularly and if so, any problems with the watch staying water tight?

Every water-resistent / waterproof watch opened should be treated for water proffing again.

Apply silicon is one measure but not the only one and definately not enough.

Nothing really spectacular on PAMs (... to me at least).

Hopping though that the excitment will cme from the .... Chopards , IWC, APs and Bretling.

Both Andy and El have the white one with long GMT hand but EL has bold date fond and Andy has silver rings around the dots.

Some can say to buy the black dial ..... but I prefer the white one (so many black dial watches)

Do any versions of the Explorer II work like the genuine, where the hour hand is adjusted independantly?

It's all a matter of taste (like everything in life). There are maybe 3 to 4 models worth having. Having those 3 or 4 is like having them all (..... the rest look all the same to me).

PT, recently said (in TRC) that 5 new PAM models are coming up during Christmas - early next year.

He didn't specified if these are improvements to existing models or really brand new models.

If new models , I wish is one of the above pictured (.... and yes as Highflyingclive says , a good Radiomir GMT it would'nt be bad at all).

By reading your report(s) certain question / thoughts go through my mind.

I will share them with you.

- You couldn't find any high end PAMs. A bit strange.

- Any new models/brands you have seen ??

- What you have seen was mainly Asian 21J or Asian ETA,Lemanina, 7750s, etc .. ???

Watch Prices: Now this a big chapter

There is more or less a $ 100 diff between the prices there and the prices we get here.

We know that. More or less all of our good dealers here they share the same prices.

Its only Paul who is significantly cheapper (contras: higher risk and no PP payment).

So the question is: Do our dealers have higher margins for pre-approving the watches, for the PP facility they offer, for absorbing the risk and for the service they offer or also because they are using a middle man ??? Dont really know, can't tell.

Note: Don't forget that our good dealers normally do not stock watches. Usually (not allways though , watches are delivered to you not from the seller but from somebody who stocks the watches and is near the source.

- Our dealers have direct access to the factories and to the main distributors there ???

I guess yes (hand picking is still the only way to promote and sell good products) but maybe some dealers are closing the deals with the factories and distributors via internet/mail and are not really anywhere near to the source.

As I said ...... I just sharing my thoughts with you guys.

Guangzhou should be an exiting place to visist (watches and other rep articles only I guess)

Untill then , I will keep buying from our dealers (... though a bit more info on what is coming and slightly lower prices will be greatly appreciated).

The 140 is a classy dress watch ..... not very appropriate to wear during any kind of exercising.

I am not sure if am writting this topic to see if others share the same opinion/taste as I or it serves as a "call" to our dealers for some input if some of these are expected sometime during 2007.

All these models have not seen yet as reps (I think ...may be I am wrong in some).

this is a new swiss brand popping up on alot of celebrities wrists. automatic 7750 chrono is $1550. i'm considering buying it because i think the brand has potential to blow up. check it out. what do you think?

I dont want to "break" the good spirit and intention of this topic and either I dont want to reduce the effects and joy of this success (930 + members nline) ..... but can't avoid it to recall a very similar thread in the old RWG I. Coulpe of months later the servers were shut down for several weeks.

In the rep world it is better to keep a low profile and "speak" low.
