    Would be good to have some improved Tudor 7032 dials as well. Especially the subdial shape bothers me. But also printing / colors could do with some improvement. Given how many 7032s are out there in comparison to V72 Rolexes I assume this would be a worthwhile undertaking...

    Well from looking at my wifes LV collection I have to say the quality of the gen has come down over the last 10 years to a very close level of a good replica.

    Pusher cut outs and lug holes are way off. There is something else wrong but I can't put my finger on it. Think for the price the Phong case set would be the better choice. Or the DW for a fraction of that.

    Has the dial spacing improved ? From memory on his older dials the 60's track was always eating into the rehaut.

    I am in the process of building a 1980 serial Daytona 6263. Looking at various pictures it seems at least some of the 80s 6263/6265 have a polished instead of a brushed case back: http://www.watchcent...ph-Daytona-6263 Given the original sticker I assume this particular watch has left the factory with a polished case back ? On another note the pusher cut-outs are the same as on my Phong case...

    Just realized in horror that my V726 donor comes with a split stem. Is there a cheaper alternative to Phong ? http://www.jewelryandwatch.com/contents/en-us/d88.html Cousins only seems to have them in Tap 12 (I believe for Rolex 7mm crown Tap 10 [0.9] is needed), while Ebay prices are through the roof.

    Should be no issue if the threads are still OK. Only difference to the modern 703 (704) is the coronet and the crimped construction.

    I have the 5444s in Fine and Coarse. The Fine is great for bracelets , tried the Coarse on the lugs and it seemed a little too spongie to get a nice straight brush.
