  1. Interesting stuff, there's some awesome photos on the wikipedia page, are there comparison shots anywhere? (standard photo next to HDR modified version).
  2. I wonder why this thread has the highest view count of all the threads posted today
  3. Maybe admin could add a sticky to the sales thread advising newbs to do some research before "pulling the trigger"
  4. I think people should be able to put whatever price they want, as long as they're not scamming newbs, then it's up to the buyer to make an offer and pay what he/she is happy with, from what I've seen if it's too expensive it usually sits there until the seller gets realistic and drops the price anyway, I don't think we can start dictating what people can and can't charge for their watches etc. Just my 2p worth.
  5. I guess it was gf1 I was talking about I hadn't seen the new pics, gf2 looks very nice too, you're a lucky man P.S. isn't that still gf1 in your avatar?
  6. Yeah I noticed a sudden presence the last day or two wb Back on topic... I must admit I would never post a neg on a dealer unless things had gotten way out of hand, luckily its never come to that as far as I can remember, well apart from Pauls "crazy sale" fiasco a few years ago but that was just joining in with everyone else, but I'm still glad that people do post neg stuff because I like to be informed, and I also think it often speeds up a resolution of their situation, but I agree there should be a certain cooling off period before going overboard. P.S. Stephane I've found that Speedy Moon watch you wanted for spares.
  7. Better still use moneybookers, WU are a rip off anyway.
  8. I'm almost tempted to add a leopard bling to my collection
  9. I've got one of the "home theater" watches, I think I made a thread about it somewhere, they're actually pretty neat, MP3 playback sound is very good, picture quality is also good, and it's not a huge watch like you'd expect, you can get them on eBay for around half what they're quoting on that site though
  10. ok thats enough of the english lessons, now let see your tarts
  11. You could try CQout there's tons of cheap reps on there, this guy has some good (bad) stuff, here's some best (worst) I found after a quick scan through his stuff.... "bling" Daytona PAM GMT Breitling nasty red PAM and last but not least... Rollie king of the bling
  12. Very nice I doubt she'd appreciate being called a tart though BTW I'd like to nominate Sql_pl's girl
  13. Be careful with those painkillers, especially with your apparent addictive nature I had a chest op a few years ago and they gave me some strong painkillers, which I then continued to get from my doctor, neither the hospital or my doctor told me that the tablets were opiate based, to cut a long story short I ended up at the local heroin addicts clinic doing a detox! not a nice experience.
  14. I'd love to see a video clip of the box in action, I'm a bit of a gadget freak so this watch and the box are right up my street.
  15. You only need VIP for selling in the member trade section, you don't need to be VIP for buying
  16. He must have got it from one of the cheaper dealers, he should have got it from Davidsen.
  17. I came across the watch in this months hr:WATCHES magazine, I've just read the whole article but there's no mention of who makes the movement. From what I read the box it comes in is just as awesome as the watch, I'll try and scan the pages (haven't used the scan function on my printer/scanner before) and post them below.
  18. Never thought I'd find myself liking a Jacob & Co watch, but I really like this one, I used to have a Jaz Derby drivers watch with a similar time display, which reminds me of a car clock mile counter, which was nice but it wasn't a patch on this beast, and a 31 day power reserve too! This cage is suspended without roller bearings and positioned vertically. Winds with integrated key, external hand key or motorized in the box. Caliber: 5 Power Reserve: 31 day power reserve (744 hours), supplied by the energy of 7 barrels and displayed through vertical rolls Jewels: 40 Functions: Indications of hours, minutes, power reserve is made by vertical disks assembled coaxially Crystal: Sapphire Water Resistance: 100ft / 30m Special Features: On-off key for time set up or winding; external access to the Tourbillion for fine-tuning; Tourbillion cage visible on the edge of the clock Strap: Rubber Warranty: 2 years Limited Edition Series: 99 pieces in White Gold, 18 pieces in Rose Gold, 18 pieces in Magnesium Platinum on request
  19. I've done a few re-brush jobs on 70's LED watches, it's best to only brush in one direction
