  1. Hi, the pin with spring bar that connects the deployant clasp to the buckle is broken. The thing broke loose and I nearly lost my PAM watch. Luckily I could catch it before the watch fell to the ground. Does anybody know where I can source or get a replacement? Or is it better to just buy a new deployant clasp? Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your advice. PanMan
  2. why not the milgauss? most dealers carry a decent version.

  5. May be just my bad luck but I had had issues too with the asian 7750 with chrono functions with seconds at 9. movement failed just after couple of weeks. no such problems with the manual movements e.g asian 6497 or swiss eta movements.
  6. Thanks for such valuable information.
  7. err what do you mean by that?
  8. it boils down to your own liking. but if you are picky about the overall look and feel and how "gen" it looks perhaps go for the wm9 sub. i get a sense that the sea dweller is still not up to par in terms of accuracy. not sure abt the YM though. as for me i think i'll wait for the new sea dweller which speaks more to me than the sub.
  9. I like the food theme. Fat Duck Chinese take-away, free delivery and drive-through Big muffins , perfect breakfast to start your day Mexican tacos now with drive-through

  15. hi, sorry for a noob question, but what do you mean by "recess an insert in the bezel" ? Could you please explain what this is and why it's needed? I'm not looking at modding but is this issue a big flaw with this watch? Other than this what other issues does it have? cheers
  16. i see your point, though you can always switch preferred payment currency to say Euro which you had done before right?
  17. yes it's quite selfish of me but it's all cyclical anyways, look we've had our fair share of the low aud$ when at one time just abt a year ago it was 60 cents to a dollar. took a trip overseas and it costs me heaps more....
  18. Main article in the Australian about the AUD$ heading for parity with the USD! This is certainly good news for us down under, better buying power!! For a while we had to suffer the weak dollar which really restricts buying from overseas. I'm sure all my fellow aussies are thrilled.
  19. Hi all you experts, Could you have a quick look at this Sub and let me know if it's comparable to the Euromariner? http://www.prowatch-polo.com/showpic.asp?ArticleID=889 What are the obvious flaws? Cheers

  22. Hi all, Just thought I introduce myself. I'm from Australia, have been interested in the rep scene for some time now and been lurking in this forum for a while now. I have gained a lot from this forum and dare say it's one of the best on the net. I got started in reps when I was quite young and couldn't afford a gen Tag, so I picked up one from the chinatown in KL (Malaysia). It was quite a crappy rep, over the months the paint job started to peel Ever since that I had continue to search for better reps which finally took me to this site. It's been a revelation of sorts to be get the sort of reps that we can get now. These days I am into Panerais watches though I always have a soft spot for Rolex.... pan man
