  1. i voted the b01 simply because the dial looks cleaner and the size is not too big.
  2. think he's still around ; check the dealer section. as for the website i think the current pam111.com does not belong to paul.
  3. Some have commented that the Asian Rolex copy movt has some issues. Do a search. I do have the DSSD with the Asian Rolex copy movt and has no problems with it so far. The winding for the Asian rolex movt is very smooth and there is no noise when you shake the watch. I also noticed the power reserve to be excellent. Again with reps your mileage may vary. I got mine from polo and I requested that he tested it prior to sending it out.
  4. +1 in the pub when the lights are dim and you have had one too many, the girl with the not so pretty face but good body starts looking REALLY good... so yes i can relate to that feeling you have with the cartier ballon bleu...
  5. Hi, Apologies for a noob question but here is a watch that is advertised with Asian 2892. http://www.timeshops.net/CH2703_-_CHOPARD_GRAN_TURISMO_XL_BLACK_DIAL_SS_RU_-_ASIAN_2892_100025-15.htm I have seen the Asian 2836 (clone of ETA) but not this and not sure whether this movement is reliable? Any advice? Or should I stay clear of this movement? Thanks pm
  6. I have my doubts about how accurate it would be not having seen one. here is one which is gen which i like but don't think they have the TT yet.the AR looks great on this one. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm298/chinek/b01_rg.jpg
  7. +1 At least the fonts on the datewheel is accurate. Here is a post of the real thing
  8. you can open the car door but damn if you can use that to start the engine
  9. +1 I asked a friend there to see if he can find a milgauss and none of the stalls have it; they only have the subs. most of the watches there are the $50 version.
  10. Congrats freddy on your quest in finding the Holy Grail of the vintage watches! awesome!
  11. thanks for the clarification. so it's trade off between accuracy and reliability ...mmmmm i was thinking of getting the explorer ii but now i'm not so sure. i would prefer the CHS but if it's not reliable then it's not good. may give it a miss altogether.
  12. Hi ToadTorrent, Pardon my ignorance but why would the ICHS be more expensive? I thought the CHS is the more expensive? Confused. Can you please clarify? cheers,
  13. if it's gen you're after ,perhaps try ebay. there is a section here for gen watches too, though you'll have to keep an eye. what do you mean by hongkong warranty?
  14. Not sure if it's a symptom of a business growing too quickly where the QC goes out the window. Perhaps try one of the other dealers e.g the apprentices. I tend to shy away from certain watch movementstoo (read The Zigmeister's section about the various movements), go for the more reliable movements. the one good thing that others have mentioned abt josh is his post-sales service. having said that i had good experience with others too in this area. one of my watch's deployant clasp broke and the dealer (polo) sent me a brand new clasp though i asked only for the spring bar
  15. I'm a IT consultant with one of the Big Four. boring. looking to start a new business.
  16. i have bought from replicavalley.net and they are ok. not the cheapest but at least the quality of the purses are good.

  17. Go the Aussies! We've got one of your ex-canadians skiing for us (flame on)
