Pam 192 Oxidized And Brush On Ti And Ss Bracelet
docblackrock replied to supermanx's topic in The Panerai Area
Saw original post - still not brave enough to try this with my beloved (and discontinued) 192. Is it the photos or has your bezel turned brushed from shiney? -
You see there you go, my first immediate thought was MBW/WM dial, confirmed by looking at my 1665. But then I thought, aren't these glued via spacer ring, following a 'dial-feet-ectomy'??? Hmmm, regardless I only hope the seller is not a member here, trying to fund his habit
-
Deleted as I reconsidered after checking the dial feet location - 11.30 and 6 is correct for a 1570 but still the description raises an eyebrow and dial feet can always be (re)attached to a rep dial. Even as a redial, it's not cheap. Thoughts? Listing...

I still don't know why Wenger never pulled that A-Team stunt on Dennis, you know, the one where they hand BA a milkshake.... 'I pity the fool who tries to make BA fly, you get that sucka.....zzzzzzz'

Dirky Boy does not know what the word 'stroppy' means - the ultimate team player made from hard Northern stock, just ask any Feyenoord or Ajax fan for that matter, even there he was respected and admired. I have a mate who got chatting to him (stuck in a traffic jam ) the week he signed, and he said Kuyt was the nicest, friendliest, most humble guy he'd met in a long time - more than happy to chat to a 'fan in the street' - very rare these days, very rare... Oh and he's going to score a hat-trick tonight just you wait! C'mon you mighty Reds!!!!
-
Thank you JTB, case closed I think - you've hit the proverbial tulip on the wooden shoe *edit* don't forget poor old Jimmy Floyd Hasseilbank!
-
Laud Ruud all you like, yes his first few years at Man U yielded lots of goals (esp in Europe), however even before the Ferguson spat and his departure, his influence had waned and being the world's worst team player (the reason for his unrivalled unpopularity amongst both fellow pros including even his own team-mates!) meant he was bound to leave. No doubt after a honeymoon period (much shorter than at Man U I'll wager) it'll be the same story and he'll go home to PSV (assuming they meet his wage demands that is). Di Stefano and Puskas were greats, however RM's first 6 trophies were won against the likes of mighty Stade de Reims (twice), the monsters of Eintracht Frankfurt, and the internationally-famous Partizan Belgrade. Uh-oh, I can hear a comeback here muttering Bruges and BMG, oops

I should bloody hope so JTB, anything else last night would have meant a huge mountain to climb. Well done nevertheless, still irked that you bhoys let the Mancs off the hook last time out By the way, I did a double take at that picture, it was Kobenhavn's sponsors unless that's what Chris Kirkland looks like these days

mwahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! Personally even if we beat the Turks covincingly at Fortress Anfield tonight, IMO it still 'doesn't count' as a serious marker laid down for the rest of the tournament, just another group game. Still I guess Real fans have got to be grateful for any small comforts right now, like the 'fantastic news' that Beckham may be signing a new (6-week clause-ridden marketing) contract , or that RVN will now go on to score 30 goals this season just like he (never) did at Man Utd....pffffff, horses for courses as they say Aaah sod it, whilst I'm deriding Madrid and dicing with the wrath of Ken (), I may as well get this off my chest - that '9' you wear on your left arm is really only a '4' or '5' most - the others don't count as no-one else actually bothered to turn up to play back in the '50s
-
Ah, you need a TW dial right? Tough ask but good luck anyway

Sorry for the delay Tribal - been away on business trip. Also I'm not getting notification - and my PM box seems to have become full overnight, WTF? Try emailing me maybe? Re. date window position, well it came off the 'industry-standard' CN rep with ETA if that helps. I'm waiting on the final piece of jigsaw on a 1675 project - same as Randy's - bit of a complicated parts swap involved also, and would prefer to hold onto the dial 'just in case' for a little while (a month maybe?). If the surgery goes well, and you're patient and don't mind waiting a little while I'd be happy to sell you the dial. As for how much, I really don't know, maybe you have some parts I might be interested in to trade? LMK cheers Doc

Quality post Maciek Glad you left out the visit to the gents/bathroom though

Here you go...

Tribal, I have a feeling I have a spare 16710 dial in my parts bin. Will have a look tonight and post a pic if so.

yes, that black datewheel (almost flush with dial too ) does have a mesmerising effect - the WIS eye goes straight to it and neglects the other very obvious flaws, like the missing 9 o'clock crown (), and the subdial indices. Still a case swap with a quartz (same 12mm thickness strangely) would fix the missing crown issue, if I can be bothered. I guess the old adage also rings true in that presentation is everything - I have the car to match (not a rep by the way ) Having had the gen on my wrist for a week's approval, I can tell you the only other slight difference is the rep has a slightly smaller case than the gen - similar difference with Subs (<5%?), barely noticeable and only when side-by-side. As for where I got it from, suffice to say it's an 'off menu' item from one of our most trusted dealers -

Actually there's another one in the window of my local AD if you're seriously interested Just out of interest, what made you 'call me out' on it being gen? -

Sorry but who said anything about QUARTZ??? Actually the 'AUTOMATIC' dial marking is accurate in this case -
There's just something about matching accesories...

The more I think about this, the more I think you're spot on. My superdome came in little opaque wax baggie with the green Rollie logo on - exactly how crystals were supplied back in the 70s (unlike the later transparent baggies with red logo). I find it hard to believe that this jumbo pack is anything but a job lot of (admittedly accurate) generic T39 superdomes. The attempt to convey authenticity by using easily obtainable Rollie ephemera as a backdrop only helps strengthen that view.

Hmm, could you email this guy and 'suggest' that there's money to be made in 1:1 rep 1675 cases, heavy oyster folded link bracelets, oh and don't forget a cure for the common cold
-
Not sure about that - looks like a highly reflective almost mirror finish on a polished wood surface makes it look double-height, intentional or not. To be honest, there is an odour of sorts about the whole auction and seller, but then I only posted this for THAT photo alone
-
can't say I didn't warn you Bob. Persoanlly I wouldn't pay that kind of dough, shill bidding is very likely, however just the mere photographic proof of the existence of that fat wad roll of crystals is worthy of exuding pools of saliva, uuuuurrrrrrggggg.....

Sure is my friend, and beating the Chavs along the way made each one extra special I do so love that photo of a glum Fat Frank and JT wiping away a tear Edge - just so you know, the silver shiny thing with big handles (ears ) in the bottom right corner of the montage is what a European Cup looks like Oh, and we have FIVE of them in our trophy room
