Sorry mate you've lost me, I know what Slurm is (and more importantly where it comes from) just don't get the connection in this context p.s. time to update your sig perhaps?

Not that much of a mystery, just note the bits I bolded and use a little imagination Although I wasn't joking about the danger posed to my health and/or any shred of a reputation I have here should he feel inclined for revenge RMO you say? Similar to my original career path as a naive 19-year old, before I was warned off due to the poor reputation of 'meatball surgeons' should you wish to leave and find a job in the outside world.

Thought I'd dust off the old girl, give her a quick internal upgrade, and voila....
-
The only Breitling model I really like. Congrats, wear it well I've almost given up looking for the old-factory Ti model rep, so like you will probably pony up for the gen considering the generous going rate right now.

Oh how I wish I could share an amusing tale about ladies' tees and a certain member here, but apart from being ungentlemanly, it would almost certainly get me banned not to mention a long midnight walk into the woods carrying a shovel Crap, if he's reading this, I'm done for regardless...

......... .....and she bites! Why October though? Me, I'm a fair-weather golfer, not one of these miserable hipflask-toting winter tee junkies. Anyway, not just the G-force you subject the movt to, I also put a bit of snap and draw into my shots (on purpose of course, honest ) and just having an auto case never mind with chrono pushers on my wrist, would be a tad uncomfortable on follow-through. @section 8 - "range" LOL - there you go, another example of two countries divided by a common language
-
I'm sure that orange dial pic is an ETA UPO - datefont does not have the heavy serifs. Dealer was probably showing you the two movt types right there.

Well you must have a girly swing .....or are using graphite shafts? My sticks (Ping Eye II WRX) have steel Rifle shafts, absolutely zero flex, stiffer than an excited racehorse.....totally unforgiving and I feel every less than perfect shot through my wrist, forearm and shoulder. Keeps me focussed. When I need to rip one out (usually a 2-iron OTT if my driver's being a [censored]), a bulky auto chrono on my wrist is the equivalent of a canary down the coalmine.

Another "only in America" post.... Well my trigger-happy friends, my rule of thumb is never subject an automatic movement to the following: a] ripping a driver off the 5th tee b] bare-knuckle fighting with local 'travelling' folk c] pneumatic drill practice and/or DIY dentistry d] servicing a particle accelerator e] 'assisting' a vet during a site visit to the local dairy farm f] your local watch monkey/key cutter g] 'nocturnal' practice with a twelve-bore, bagging of a brace of pheasant belonging to a Russian oligarch's country estate If you feel compelled to do any of the above, please do yourself a favour and strap on a quartz

I already had the gen on approval last Christmas - no apparent 'colour-reflecting' AR but then no especially nasty 'mirroring' or cloudiness, so IMO the crystal has definitely had some treatment just very subtle. Long wait for S4 and the enigmatic Juliet - early next year I believe -

Look at my pic, same daywheel alignment issue. I'll be swapping out for ETA wheels anyway, see if that proves a fix I think this whole AR issue has got a little confused. An AR coating absorbs white light and depending on the process and coating used, it varies on what specific wavelength it reflects back. I've seen blue, green, purple, even pink. Absorption rates probably vary from anywhere between (guesstimating ) 90% for heavy double-sided AR to about 40% for light internal AR. The gen Aquaracer is very much the latter, so why anyone expects to see a heavy blue I have no idea. Doesn't mean it doesn't have AR and if the tech specs say it is coated then it is coated. End of. p.s. verbal, lovely avatar - just finished watching series 3 - Evangeline Lilly has been dumped in my affections as a result -

Thought he posted he was just taking a break from these for the summer? No? Regardless, my point still stands. AR and quality of rep do not go hand in hand....ask anyone with a HBB paperweight -

Lordy, lordy....in your "reality" maybe....as BT states above, the gen 'Racer does not have anything like the coloured-reflecting AR you expect to see on say, one of the old-school Pams, or the recent swiss BCE, HBB etc. If you're so fixated on AR as an indicator of quality, then it's actually better for a rep NOT to have AR so you can then get it "chieftang'd". -

Close as it's ever going to get. Bar some easily-removable inking on the caseback (not etched I'm sure) and a lack of serial nos., the watch in these pics is spot-on to gen. "U-Aquaracer"??? The U-PO is by no means 100% perfect, so I don't quite understand this comment, sorry. -
Errm, what's the big deal about the delay??? Same case and strap as Cousteau just need different dial, inner bezel and caseback. What's so difficult? Not that I'm interested anyway of course
-
Pics might help, even though you have described the problem. Strange one, not something that's ever come up. When did you buy it? Known dealer source? Oh and congrats on being a member of the McQueen avatar subforum - there must be about 50 of you guys now
-
Yes, clasp is correct, like the case, it is based on the same improved bracelet as the Aquagraph. Mine should be here by the weekend hopefully.
-
You'd never guess Seriously, 7750 is out for all reasons listed above but the residual movt problem with the Monaco is not so much the running seconds hand but the killer combination of the twin chrono AND date. IMO you will wait for ever for a proper rep, so best off going out and buying a used gen and then you too can look like Ricky Gervais
-
Appalled like many purists. Mellowed somewhat these days and now total indifference suits me fine. As for Arnie, never have the words "only in America" been so ironically appropriate - good luck with that
-
You know I've always been 'meh' :yucky: when it comes to the HBB, but THIS model for some reason doesn't invoke the same reaction, quite the opposite.....have no idea why, strange Can't see this as being too different to manufacture if they have done the Monaco YC version?
-
Laz, you know sometimes you see a watch in a magazine or on the internet, and you think it looks great...and then you go to an AD and on the wrist it is a big disappointment??? Well this is the complete opposite. Trust me.

Nice pics BT Incidentally, the white dial rep is fantasy - the gen is actually silver, same as previous 41mm Date-only model - doesn't photograph well but here's best pic I've found of old model. A group pic of the 43mm DD in which you can see the blue dial under relatively normal light - ever slightly faded blue compared with deep blue on the rep. Of course photos are always difficult to judge from but still....

Sorry to dig up a rotting corpse of a thread, but since we've now seen the Black Magic and more recently the carbon-dialled Yachting Club de Monaco, with the America's Cup topical at the moment (controversy, legal wrangling, sponsor billionaires doing battle etc.), I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Luna Rossa edition, a very nice looking watch AND (unlike the standard 'car tyre' HBB issue) a gorgeous strap to boot

Well what do you know, all that polling from me, TonTon and By-Tor finally paid off Mine officially now on its way Greedy, got bracelet with extra rubber strap Had some doubts over the blue dial/bezel version colour-wise, so it was back to black, as they say....
