Let me knoiw ubi.. I am in no rush to buy, but at some point the rep crown will drive me insane Btw, the watch came with a clark xtal. That will be the last thing I will change. Next will be a change of hands and a relume. The dial is very nice for a rep imo.

Isn't the gen 703 crown 7mm like the rep? I think it is a bit thinner for sure but not wider .. But, I am a noob when it comes to vintage rolex:) Ideally, I'd like a 703, but for now I can modify the rep crown. I think if I thin the crown a bit more I can sqeeze by..

I just received this today and as soon as I got home I started tinkering with the damn beauty.. I thought I might trim down the cg and crown.. Further mods will include a relume or perhaps an ingod dial.. I will also change the hands to something a bit more accurate.. I know that I will blow my budget soon With EMM permission I will post a pic of the before and after.. only thing that has changed is the trimming of the CG and crown.. I also polished the case (I like the shinning case look).. I will trim the crown a bit more.. Any suggestions regarding the cg? Before (CG/Crown) After (trimmed CG and stock Crown) Thoughts.. (might trim the crown just a tad more)..

I put the watch together myself.. Only Chinese lineage is the case which is a 111J reshaped to be more true to the Pre-V case shape. The dial is not available yet for sale so you can say it is somewhat of a prototype. The CG a friend of mine gave it to me.. The hands are FGD. The caseback is a Jacob.. The crystal is a BigMatt.. It has a swiss 6497..
