i need to find or make several centre links for a bracelet. is there a source ? i wonder if someone has made the centre links from say 15 thou ss sheet ? any options or is to the shear for me ?

the watch is working by it self when I shake it, it works for about one hour, and keeps good time..... JUST MADE ME LOL

i have had enough case scraping to last me a lifetime. the killer has been stem height in the case in cases where i have floundered. as far as the dial and eta movement, a route would be send my an eta dial blank for him to print up as a 6542 vice playing with a cup dial.

what a great find. i have been looking for a date wheel for a 1035 for a long time that did not make my teeth hurt. where did you find that treasure ? i wonder how that movement is going to fit the case. it is always something that goes askew that makes the hobby so worthwhile- when it is sorted.

the tip of the sweep second hand needs a taper point. the gmt hand is set to correspond to the watch's time- you are overthinking the issue.

it has had steel rod pounded in and soldered in lieu of spring bars. going for a naval issued dive watch homage. lots of wabi ie brass showing on bezel edge etc. parts from my, case from ndt. must point out the case was too small in diameter to accept 15xx movement by a mm. ndt advice was to shave movement, this was not taken and case was hand reamed out to accept gen movement. the reamer was made from a 1/2" triangular file and i now have a nice tool that i had been meaning to make. a little silver lining. bezel bleached and drilled to take a gen aged pearl. but could not find a good pencil hand(8mm with 130 post)

other than i could not find an hour pencil hand this does it for me. for now

this is my gen 1016 gilt. it came with silver hands and spring bars not like the sub 2mm ones but another type of rolex bars with steps. i am the second owner and was told it was not modded. the bracelet in the photo was just put on as a trial and the watch is now mounted to a better piece of steel

strange that the lug shots show no wear from a bracelet. nothing. spring bars are sticking out so may not genuine. the 24 hour hand tip looks gold and the list of puzzlers goes on...
