Thanks alot for the info. guys. Ill check it out.
Some of these players like Krell cost a fortune. How about NAD or Rotel? They're said to be pretty good bang for
the buck.
PS- Watchmeister, I think audiophiles are still arguing tube vs. transister. High end turntables can cost $100K!
I like watches and nice stereo equipment. I have an older system with Classe amplifiers and Magnaplanar speakers.
I had a California Labs CD player- very good but died after 15 years. Can anyone suggest a current CD player that would go with
the rest of my gear? I don't mind spending some $$, but not crazy like $5k. I'm not looking for a Best Buy special for $200 either.
I'd recommend the OEM Asso. They're hard to find, but really nice, $230 USD, about the same as any high end strap.
Here with my new Rad 380 Logo. Spices it up compared to the plain black calf skin it came with- IMO
Bienvenidos amigo. This is the year of the PAM replicas! My advice, try the 005 from the H factory.
Great place to start, and a super watch for less than $250 USD. If you like you can get another strap to go with it .
We were all new once. You can learn alot about watches here. Be careful though, this rep collecting can be habit forming!
I have more than 60 I've collected over the years. Creo que soy addicto.
I just bought this new Rad Logo- on sale bit more than $4K USD. I's the cheapest PAM out there I think.
Not bad for Gen COSC-IMO. Also, came with black Calfskin strap, wasn't well received here. Just added this new Assolutamente. It does look nice.
Timeshops are TD @ the other RWG and RWI. They have specials on 'Noobfactory' Rolex- Ceramic Subs, DD, DJ all about $150 with clone
mov'ts. I have a few SS models- GMT and Sub-C very good deals for the $$. No complaints so far.
Funny, but one of the few gen Hublots I've seen was one a trainer at my gym. This kid collects heavy duty watches- Daytona, IWC, TT Subs, etc.
all gens. I wonder what he's doing after hours- his girlfriend has a Masserati. Not to assume anything, but he's from the Domican Republic.
I'm sure there are no drugs involved.
Actually that IWC looks fine. I'm on the other side of the fence- I have tons (about 60) of reps but I don't mod them usually.
I know they're not gen, so it doesn't bother me too much. I've also been lucky enough to collect a pretty nice collection of gens- IWC, Omega, Rolex,
PAM and RAD over the past 20 years. I still have the fever- always looking for more!
I think that the dealer should be more flexible. However qc pix are not for gen comparisons.
They are to make sure there is nothing major wrong with that watch. They are never going to be 1:1, that's pure dealer
and factory hype.
