Great minds think alike. I thought the same thing. Though the Pro2 would be a little agressive for the old school look of this watch,i think the look of this bracelet with this watch is a good blend of both. A real winner. Enjoy it man,it is really nice.

My wife dropped my bling SA off at the AD for a polish,i picked it up today wearing my TT GMTIIc,the lady in sales gets my SA and says :are you in the market for a new Breitling?"... I respond "No as there is no Breitling nicer looking than mine " She responds that they have the "new Bentley" and goes into the back,i just want my watch,i gotta go...thinking i'm done with buying watches,i have what i want. She comes out with this and hands it to me,black dial,i look it over,check the open caseback,comment that its nice to see Breitlings own in house movements (was very nice actually,the open caseback was impressive),drool over the dial a bit,the subdials completely different from what you expect from Breitling for Bentley ,case and bezel and bracelet to be expected. I ask what they are looking for on this,she shows me the tag,almost 13 grand before taxes (here in Canada),tells me she can do 10 grand out the door,i tell her i will think about it and grab her card. I just wanted to pickup my watch,i knew i should have had my wife do it,i have been thinking about it all day since. [censored] sakes. Opinions of this watch guys? Was damn nice,really nice. Considering it.

Well,if the cost of my house was about equal to the cost of a Rolex,i would own 100 gens. Nice to see some not going the simple "Rolex" angle when it comes to this subject,i'm sure my friend BT would find that refreshing as well. Times change. Pardon the pun.

On a side note,i miss AD,we joined RWG1 at the same time,anybody know if he frequents the other forums at all anymore?,he told me a while back he was done with them...

Well gee,you went to RG and RWI first now came here?,i dont think i should help you with such simpleton questions they couldn't... Movement is the same in both and is good. The dial swap i have only heard of one attempt and was a success,though on such an inexpensive gen,i think the lack of tries is due to that. The dial is good on the rep,just have a modder relume it if your fussy.

If i had not been on these forums for 5 years,i wouldn't know or care if a gen HBB or Pam cost $5,and wouldn't give you that for one. And i would question if my own gen Rolex was fake or not. Once a member of these forums,you have taken an interest in this stuff and thoughts change beyond that kind of thinking. There are alot of brands out there,us guys on the rep forums probably know more about them then anyone.

For the world outside of these forums that pays no attention to watches anyway,indeed Mike. I'm talking about the forum members though,curious if they think beyond that generic thought.

Just noticed yet another HBB thread of some unknown watch i will never see in the wild... Had me thinking..of all my years around this watch bit,the HBB is one line of watches that if i ever see somebody wearing one,its a damn rep without question. The years of popularity of the HBB reps (remember when the "mellow yellow" was over a grand?) and the fact i have taken around 25 vacations around the world the last 5 years,never seen a Hublot on any wrist,let alone one here in Toronto,never. As much as the easy answer to my question is Rolex,for me not really. There are so many gen and rep Rollies out there,who knows from a distance (or up close at times),i would go by who is wearing it before i would question the watch itself. But with HBB,i don't think i would. While looking at the latest HBB thread on a rep forum here,the first thing that came to my mind was..."man, nothing screams fake watch like a HBB"... Agreed?...if not,what makes you think "fake" when (if ever) you see a certain brand on a wrist,and why....

Any dealer i have purchased from offers a DOA warranty. Of the 100 or so reps i have owned over the years,i have always taken them out of the wrapping and right into a bucket of soap and water for a cleaning. If one was to have an issue,i would contact the seller letting them know they sent me a DOA. As far as i'm concerned,this is not my problem. Only once this has happened to me,a watch from Ruby years ago,it was replaced without question. A tip for noobs.

Wow,what a long load of wind for something so basic. Of course these watches (gen) are not worth what they sell for,that has nothing to do with it,or why some of us want to buy reps of them. I'm going to ask my wife if her bags are worth the thousands they cost,of course not.

For sure. I think that all Pam reps look like gens,but i won"t argue with someone that knows what they are talking about in regards to the subject.

If not buying a gen,that there is without question,the next best thing.

No Mike, just have owned all that there is to own when it comes to Super Avengers,i can assure you nobody on these forums have owned every version possible,rep,gen and franken,when it comes to this watch,aside from myself. A highly addictive watch and buying a rep as it comes just does not cut it,and will end up like myself and Chief here,loosing money over time on these. Do it right the first time and get it over with,is my advice. I had put together my 10th or so franken (while owning my gen i bought in 2007) around the time you joined this forum.

Oh boy. Wear a gen for a couple days and see if that is still your opinion,frankly all Rolex DJ reps are far superior,and there are a million of those. That hunk of tin foil the chinese are calling a "Pro2" bracelet is disgusting. And the dials are garbage. One great franken project though,gen dial (the black batons is probably the best dial) and gen bracelet,one great watch.
