  1. Your kidding, what happened to him. sorry to hijack the thread but my father just died,57 years old, heart failure. Rob i considered a friend, alot of fun. Just bummed me out more.
  2. Because,he was doing the right thing. Read all this thread and had to respond to this one. Alan (OS),great posts. Cheers to RWG for doing the right thing as well,in the end. Dave.
  3. Ok,next its the toaster in your kitchen. Chick in post 2,please.
  4. I owned the gen the first SABS was made from, wasnt impressed with either...LOL. Novelty watch.
  5. LOL. No. Awesome new money maker though, good for them.
  6. Is there such thing? (picturing my kid running around with one while his buddy wears his Mario watch)...
  7. LOL,they are just not the same. Nothing like the real thing, worth every penny. For temp. toys while trying to figure out the right gen,the V3 BCE's are good. Once use to a Breit though, the SA will be the way to go. I have worn my gen almost daily for 5 years. Owned almost every decent rep Breit before it too.
  8. Fantastic shots,Mike. More of the chick in post 2,please.
  9. Guys that were rooks when RWG1 went offline and now claim to be someone really get under my skin, sorry guys.
  10. This is a really f'ing stupid comment and a total insult to the history of these forums,i have been "banned" for way less than this. What a tool you are buddy, really. I wanted to put my RWG watch pics up but it seems Imagecave doesn't exist anymore,i do thank Ubi for what he did for POTR and myself getting that watch, not so much for the guy i ended up selling it to that said he didnt get it,got a refund from me and vanished. Curse of that watch i guess.
  11. Well gee Kruz, considering many likely get the same "QC" pics of watches they are buying and dont know that, and if the shipping address is not SG,then Josh really has not seen the watch,i wonder if the drop shipping theory could be true?! Bought around 50 watches from Josh, dont worry about "QC" bs you read about with these dealers,it is what it is and Josh is the leader of the pack as far as rep watch dealers go,you will be fine.
  12. Indeed, but we are not talking about the American businessman here. And anything business is not a subject for someone like yourself to comment on anyway. Remember guys, when you want a 10k watch on your wrist for what a decent dinner out costs,[censored] happens once in a while, and anyone can complain to a dealer about a DOA watch just for the heck of it,and to have another shipped. A businessman (from any country) wouldn't be one for long if they just started handing out goods or money just because a customer online says so. Problem with the watch?,send it back or get it fixed yourself, thats the way it is. They will always offer you something for your claimed troubles,a discount on any future purchase, free strap shipped out,etc...but if you dont like it,buy a gen and shut up. As unpopular as that response might be,remember what you are involved in,if your not happy with your coke, the dealer on the street corner won't mail you another hit just because you call him and say you didnt get high. I think the policy these guys offer is fair, its rare there is an issue, and remember what you are buying, and why.
  13. I wear a SA most of the time, only take it off when i go to bed,now i know why i cant sleep at nights, dammit i have to put the thing back on... Good night and thanks.
  14. Bud,as much as that dude belongs on Jerry Springer, you obviously dont have a kid of this generation. He is a nut with a point.
  15. Tell Donny i said hello, what was done for his family was done by myself and many on the forums he speaks of are back stabbers as he knows, and neglects to mention.
  16. LOL, "ive been everywhere man....." just read the member interview section. To be honest though,as poisened as Repgeek has been and is,that fact has made it the most entertaining, without question. Just beware around there and have fun. For worry free rep watch advice,RWG here is the original,it spawned RWI,which spawned RG,which spawned WC...etc.... Just have fun with it,its just a silly hobby, really.
  17. Nobody said you were. All the history of all these rep forums basically boil down to this forum you read here, all of them. All good.
  18. I don't know about that, but Jean and Dumpey, were characters indeed. How the two would enjoy bickering with themselves was a sight to behold. To answer the OP's question,i was the guy that had the most posts on the original RWG when it went offline and the guys that run "rwg 1.1" are guys that joined RWG shortly before the lights went out for good, then started a copy of the forums format. Simple as that,no more and no less. You dont hear much about it here as it really has nothing to do with RWG,past or present. This forum was started years ago by guys that were part of the original and moved on when Blade basically did the same, but left his forum up for as long as it did, which was longer then it was suppose to.
  19. To an old friend, Never gonna get called out on [censored] like this, just the handfull of forum junkies. Enjoy the watch, looks great. Glad you are still enjoying the hobby. Dave.
  20. And while we have to worry about passing our reps as real, imagine trying to pass that gen as gen.... Not that it matters, thats why i wear gens, its only i that cares if its truely gen or not to me, but it is funny to think of a conversation between a guy calling a SS DD out and the rare guy wearing one....
  21. My thoughts as well. Nothing wrong with what the pawn guy said, there are very few that could dispute his comments. "In general" statements like his are accurate according to 9 out of 10 dentists.
  22. Holy [censored] guys. Pho has good intentions, read the post and move on if you dont like it. These forums are a big mix of [censored],dont forget that, and dont take this seriously. Its a handfull of forums discussing Chinese toys, and us children are a part. Play along.
  23. Cheers guys. The post office and banks were closed here today ( No idea why),i will ship this watch tomorrow. In talking to the winner via pm,i am glad he won,one of those guys that has remembered what i have done on these forums. I wanted to make this my "grand finale" on these forums,i had this watch sitting around and i knew i could make use of it here, one last time. I have had alot of people that have been good to me over the years, since the defunct RWG1 till my days at RWI,RG,Here and my now two accounts ive had to have, the other forums that have come and gone. Its been really fun. I have always only had good intentions for these forums, always. To my friends and people that have acted as friends over the years,it is what it is. There are certain gen people on rep forums and there are those that are as people, just what these forums represent. That is something i have learned. I wish all the good people of these forums all the best, those of you that are just as rep as the watches we discuss, you know who you are, enjoy. TA is a good guy,i am happy to be sending him this watch, and this is the last time i will be posting on these forums, thank you to all that have been gen people in a rep world, that is 100% what i have been, like me or not, that is the truth and i appreciate the few that are the same. Its been an experiance. All 30-40 thousand posts of it i have put up. Viva RWG,this is where i started in 2006 and that forum went offline with me at the top of posts,i am proud of that and this version of RWG is where i end it. I have the gen watches i want now and its due to this experiance. I owe as much as i have given. I hope you guys that keep RWI and RG alive remember that this is the gen of those reps, keep it alive, please. All the best, Dave.
  24. Happy new year to you and your family, K. Best for 2012.
