It is obvious from those pics. Ken is a middleman,from what i understand. Those pics sent to the seller,and item shipped,neither had to do,with Ken. Correct?.

Wow,my ADD usually gets to me after page 1 but this thread has had me glued. Awesome journey buddy,pics and story,fantastic.

I think this is why i gave away more watches than i sold,and i never bought outside of dealers,unless it was for charitable reasons,dont need to get into this kinda BS. The savings over dealers that guaranteed my delivery was always minimal and not worth it. Buddy,rep buyers are always looking for a deal and shipping a value of $30 is something alot of sellers do so that the buyer doesnt have to pay customs fee's. Claiming the item "used auto. movement" or something generic instead of "fake watch" or things like this. In the end,this s hits not insured and a buyer could be sporting the watch while grumbling that he didnt get it and wants his money back,this s hits on the seller. Reminds me of when i sold my RWG watch,i bought it in a charity thing here to help a guy out,later sold it,shipped it to AUS from here in Canada,he said he didnt get it,i refunded him. I bought it twice. All you can do is hope both sides are level headed and can work things out via pm. Buying and selling on these forums are "beware" on both ends. Have always admired the Blackbird as well,not my size but a really nice watch. One of the nicer Breits that are not up there in size like my SA and 6.75. Enjoy it man,its a real winner.

Stop by any local watchsmith,check the phonebook. Had the same problem years ago with a 6.75 rep,movement dry and dirty. Common,dirt stuck in a gear,watchsmith took care of it in a few minutes. If you like these watches,have them cleaned and oiled upon arrival. Good luck man.

Dunno if the rep is big bucks (for reps) like it use to be,probably is. They are giving away the gens now,not many like these watches but if you do,take a look at gens these days,serious discounts.

Rep retired,long ago. Picked up a new gen 6.75 yesterday though,black dial. BCE reps are great,blue dials are usually off to gen,do a search here regarding these watches,loads of threads over the years. Good day.

Wow,my dad died last week of the same thing. 1 year older than Rob. Something brought me here i guess,its been a while. I cant access the forums he was a dealer at but this news has saddened me,the guy was outspoken,just like my dad. I liked Rob alot. Some history of good and bad times with him,but i always respected the way he was. Guess im late here on this,shocked at the coincidence with my father most. RIP Robert.
