    My Dad

Brother,I feel your pain. My grandfather was the same, died the same reason, handsome Irish boy with a drinking problem. He passed at 59 years old when i was 11,his liver failed and i watched him turn to skin and bones in months. My father, the same, lived a stressed life, drank like a fish every night, went thru numerous heart attacks, insisted that passing on hamburgers and salt was key,but his bottle of rye every night was a non issue. I took him and my mother to Cabo over new years to spend time with him,he sat with the 20 year olds all night for 2 weeks shooting tequila, had another heart attack 3 hours after getting off the plane with me here in Toronto, got thru that, kept drinking,i buried him at the end of March this year,57 years old. I will always miss my father. And that leaves me,many know my history on these forums. Rambling now, time for a refill, but me and you are friends, its too bad we didnt meet when i was in Vegas,we have alot in common,i guess. Good luck to you,and your family.
  3. A Canadian wearing a Pam. Must be a Stevie fan,i hear.
  4. Thomas does make the other admins look like rookies when it comes to this, but then again,i guess they are. Keep up the good work, sir.
  5. Of the replies, you picked out mine. I feel like a f'in rock star. Spending 2 weeks in Asia doesnt solve the George mystery is all i was saying buddy. There was nothing smartass about it.
  6. LOL. I think you really want Andrew to give you things that fit in places that they shouldnt.
  7. With all due respect,BK, "Heres what happened to wm9" as a title to a thread about this subject from a guy that just spent 2 weeks in Asia is a bit of a stretch. They will cry ya a river buddy, been around them and am married into them, most of my life. "Heres my thoughts" would be far more appropriate. You have no idea after 2 weeks what the truth is about what happened. Even 2 years would still be questionable if your an outsider. Anyway,it is what it is,sad story of a remote possibility.
  8. LMAO. love ya Pizz. If your dealer doesnt live and breathe selling reps and taking care of ya,change dealers, you have the wrong one. Good rule.
  9. From vast experiance, one thing i can tell you is that "very kind regards" is an asian dealer,or someone on their behalf. I was the one that reported this clown, when he showed up and went on his spam spree of the same long post in different threads going on about Sino being where its at. Copy/paste in different threads. Seen this many times over the years on 5 rep forums, these guys come and go. "But i'm not in China!!"...neither is Joshua,so what. James from Bestswiss at old RW G1 was the best of these threads, for the few like Ken that will remember it,but atleast this guys trying. Just another one of these threads.
  10. Decent rep buddy, far better than a Nav rep. DW is an issue but i am sure you will be impressed with it overall. Have fun.
  11. Enjoy brother. In rep watches, you are scrapping the bottom of the barrel when buying from Watcheden,if his products impress then one from almost all the other dealers here will blow ya away. If decent HBB's are your thing,do check out Josh,Andrew,Angus, many more here that sell the top of the line. Couple hundred more usually but well worth it. Have fun with the hobby, just the start of a journey.
  12. Tell the little chinese kid to remove all his stickers from it,this aint no Civic and it would be a sharp ride.
  13. Buddy. Alot of bs goes on with these dealers and thats what the forums are here for, talk to each other, discuss whats bs and not,but frankly the real dealers in this game would rather that none of these forums existed,it would be better for business if we didnt. Small potatoes, and in their opinion,a handfull of know it alls. We really are not much when it comes to the counterfeit market. Guys like By-Tor and others back in the day did reviews to promote discussion in our small community, but again,in the counterfeit watch trade as a whole,we are just a small annoyance that the dealers listed here try to combat, while pretending to be a friend. It is what it is,dont think that asking them to be honest to us really means much,it would hurt them more than help, really.
  14. Are you looking to be a purchaser of an ugly little watch that you can get your money back on 5 years from now or a purchaser of a nice looking watch to be proud to wear in 2012?. If the first choice, then get the Rolex, its like a faithful fat broad, not much to look at,but some guy will always take it off your hands when its time to get rid of it. If the second choice, get a Breitling. Like a hot stripper, you can use it,abuse it and dump it for the next model.
  15. Robert apparently passed away,Neil did as well? No more "baldrick" on the other forum?...
  16. V6? Shows ya where the kid has been,i didnt know there was past a V2. Watch looks great man. Nothing screams rep more than a HBB,rep or gen but they are cool watches, when you might see one.
  17. Wore a Rolex for years, nobody noticed. Then again, not many have microscopes attached to their eyes. Wore a Pam and every kid leaving the gumball machine at the grocery store seemed to be in a competition with me,dammit, punks ended up in grocery carts. Ended up with Breitlings. Pussy galore and guys wearing reps of what i wear.
  18. Gentlemen. Lets just change the "RWI playpen",into the "Senior Citizens" forum, kill two birds with one stone.
  19. Couldnt get thru this without a jug of Vodka. Your the man bro. This is one great thread.
  20. Ya,Josh can get you a purple with pink polka-dots,emerald bezel Rolex if you wish, just email him you request.
  21. I think it would match my black Gucci purse and silver Jimmy Choo shoes very nicely.
  22. By the way, delete the tool in the post above my last, F'n spammers.
  23. Great post from the OP to noobs browsing indeed. If you can get a good rep of a 10k gen for $300 and it floats your boat, all good. Do get the movement checked out by a local watchsmith,i found mine in my yellow pages, was not hard. Cleanup, oiled if required and your good to go for next to nothing. Skip the winding and just wear the watch on your wrist till it runs, then set the time and date. It is indeed a good movement. Have fun.
