  1. 3717 day today! pre-wheels: post-wheels: The Strawberry Meep likes it:
  2. I got my anchor from Overboosted.
  3. I default to three basics: While I wear most of my watches on rotation, these are the ones I choose from if I'm in a hurry.
  4. Are we there yet?
  5. Ooh, I have one of these too. Stephane has one too. Here's a pic of it while it was in my hands.
  6. Yes, but that's utter crap and everyone knows it.
  7. Oh, have you told your friends they disgust you? Pick a side and stay there. We can do this all day.
  8. I realise your post is only humour so I'll not comment adversely.
  9. I think that's the next one we're going to be offered once they've shifted enough of the new one. Yes, I believe we're going to get an even better rep very soon. Beware the Osbourne Effect.
  10. Here's the new Pugwash Seadweller Theory: This is a stock dump. The real super-rep SD with a replica Rolex movement is just around the corner, as soon as the Cartel has recovered their costs on this baby. Paranoid? Over-imaginative? Hopeful?
  11. Tip Waitress, etc.
  12. Even though the humpday has been humped, the thread seems to have some life ... So, today is a beefy, ugly, tuna-can-duct-taped-to-my-wrist day. The front one:
  13. Yet you can't equate "suffered from severe clinical depression" to "sad"? You can't have been that good. ps: It'd be insouciante as reply is feminine in French.
  14. When your posts are as daft as that one, you of all people don't deserve a break. The target for Simple English isn't the people you listed as they don't have computers, internet or the inclination to read about some dead bloke on the 'Pedia. I thought you'd learned other languages and would understand the issue. How would you have written the article, knowing the constraints of Simple English?
  15. Simple English on Wikipedia is there for those people that don't have the vocabulary of a native speaker. I applaud the initiative as it allows beginners in English to use parts of the internet normally too complex to understand. Dumbing down? IT'S NOT FOR YOU OR PEOPLE LIKE YOU. Sheesh! What next? Complaining the Spanish don't do a decent Fish-and-Chips? Edit: Did you even consider looking it up? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sim...glish_Wikipedia
  16. Repressed much? They say Homophobia is the inability to deal with one's own latent homosexuality, and that puts you so far in the closet you're in Narnia.
  17. Anyone that's ever owned a Mac with a floppy drive already has one of those iClips. It's been a standard Apple tool since 1984. ps. that 50-reasons article? Rather crappy humour-as-news.
  18. My learned advice: Silix 111h and 183 are both $110 or so and as good as you'd need. Look no further, apart from new straps, of course You can either take my word on this or waste a few days finding it out.
  19. The Big Bang will date as well as Flock of Seagulls did.
  20. Thanks. We're waiting for your review.
  21. It's a secondary box day today! After the success of my Panerai-fuelled job interview on Monday and the relaxed Planet Ocean day yesterday, it was deemed time to put the box of six regular reps away and go to the secondary box for a change. The change brings a Seiko SKX031 to my wrist on a BOB for Breitling strap. An unusual wristshot taken in Thailand last year: ... and the result:
  22. If I were rich enough to buy as many gens as I needed/wanted, I'd give away all my reps and buy a lot of gens. If I had 12-24 really nice gens, I honestly don't think I'd ever consider looking at reps again. Much like people who have never really been poor don't understand how important money is, I've learned more through replicas than I ever would have through buying gens, but if I could afford nothing but gens, why would I go back to replicas?
  23. There's a Joe-bashing thread? How will I find it? I know, posts-by-member hk45ca ...
  24. Tell yourself whatever you have to to sleep at night.
  25. A Germanic fellow wearing a Luftwaffe watch being offended by a British lady tapping his sapphire? Tell me it's not true! You keep mentioning it's a very specific watch without going in to the specifics. The Big Pilot is based on a military design and therefore can, like the Panerai vintages, carry a lot of history, not all of which is happy and joyful.
