  1. This already happens for every watch in the dealer review forum.
  2. No-one can afford to buy every Sub released. While I think this is a noble suggestion (hey, why not give it a go, Cranium!), I think it'll be a logistical nightmare. If you want to give it a go, I can give you some pics of mine from stock angles as a template for others to do the same.
  3. I'm off out to the Tuilleries on Sunday to teach a French babe how to use her new camera. I'll be most likely wearing this: The strap may be faded more than in that pic though ...
  4. This is the internet. You should know what to expect by now.
  5. I'm looking at PT's Ultimate LV, am waiting to see what goodies Narikaa has and am lookign forward to TTK getting settled in so he can start a new push of stuff. I'd have taken a cheap Aquatimer, but ...
  6. Yet you used it on me without a worry. Thanks. Are these the reviews you were giving away a free watch for? If you're not scared, you have no reason at all to badmouth the opposition. Let your sales and service do the talking. If you hadn't insulted the dealers and forum members here, we'd be quite happy to let you get on with your crazy bake sale without commenting. As it is, you come out looking for a fight and then act all victimised when you get one.
  7. The $109+ thing isn't a big deal. The IWC one was.
  8. Me? I have never bought a watch, sold a watch or seen a watch advertised as TW Best, so I don't know why you're asking me. I think you're confusing me with someone ... else.
  9. Yes, insult your potential customers. That one always works. You lied, or intentionally misled, over the price of the IWC Aquatimer. You had a pic of a Jones and a 2000M and said IWC Watches for $79. That is false advertising. The items pictured were not available at that price. Since then, you edited the advert, and changed the "$109 + Free Shipping" to a "$109+ with Free Shipping" on your rolexes. Paul/Chris/Whatever, why do you feel the need to go on the attack to get sales? Are you that scared of your competition? You do realise you're essentially saying "Ha ha, you're all stupid for not shopping with me" which, along with insulting their intelligence by buying good reviews, just shows how much contempt for your customers, potential and actual. You, sir, have a lot to learn.
  10. Sorry, Paul, but at least Silix don't lie about their prices. They tell you a price and they sell you a watch at that price. They also charge shipping. You, on the other hand, advertise one price and then recant when you get an enquiry, hoping that once I've put in the leg-work, once I'm in the store, I'll settle for a more expensive watch. Free shipping doesn't help when the watch isn't available at the advertised price.
  11. Do what I do. Set 'em when you wear them Otherwise, let them run down.
  12. I think the 88 quid buy now and photo of a different watch are more of a giveaway...
  13. Who do you think makes the ETAs? Here's a clue: It's not the Swiss ...
  14. How stupid do you have to be to do that?
  15. Hey, no-one really thought she'd go through with it, right?
  16. Yes, especially when I'm photographing them and I want the time to be right. Winding automatic watches isn't bad for them or anything.
  17. It's the current "Improved" Asian 21j Sub sold by the 'respectable' dealers. I got mine from TTK, but I believe the Joshes, Andrews and Eddies of this world stock it for $100-120. Knowing my luck, it's out-moded by all the hand-fixed 'specials' dealers seem to be offering in the last week or so. Still, it looks the business, regardless.
  18. The noobmariner is remarkably good for your $100, though.
  19. Also, most Sub guides deal with vintage subs, whereas moderns are by far the best sellers.
  20. At no point did I even think crystalcranium was one of the PMers. Nice one, By-Tor, good descretion.
  21. Oh yeah, and this is funny. I get hardly any photography questions by PM, if any. Everyone wanting any help with their photography has always asked in public.
  22. You missed the point. Let me restate it for the record. You can ask anything you like in a public forum. Anything. Who has the best sub, is Paul a conman, is my GST made of real Titanium, do I really think new PAMs are vile while saying everyone needs a 111h, what dealers do I like ... anything, and you will get a decent answer. Asking by PM means you don't want anyone else to hear the answer. It's selfish and contrived. Also, ask in a public forum and other people, most of whom are more expert than I am will chime in, correcting me as I do my peer-review thing. PM means Personal Message. Your needing the best Sub isn't personal to me.
  23. I guess you prefer teaching a class instead of just one pupil. A PM is like a pupil turning up at your house while you're relaxing in front of the TV asking you to do his homework. Now, during school time, you love teaching a classful of eager pupils, but this doesn't mean you do out-of-hours one-on-one private tutorials without being paid.
  24. That's Chri^H^H^H^HPaul's problem.
