  1. Like you, most people DON'T have problems. That said, I would spend the 15 bucks and have my watch tested before submersion in water. If a rep is tested, it is tested. Period. These blanket statements about not putting reps in water are silly nonsense.
  2. Yup. I wish people would stop repeating this - it is now like the 20 foot albino alligator living in NYC's sewer system.
  3. If what you say is true then you should name the dealer. I am tired of playing guessing games when it comes to who is supplying fake ETA's. We should all name and shame when there is clear evidence of fraud - so that other members can make INFORMED decisions about who to buy from. Thanks!
  4. No, it's a REALLY good rep. Amazing, isn't it?
  5. I never used to question the LLBean field watch but then I discovered that Ruby can source a rep of it - it is a GOOD one too:
  6. On his site he says "genuine Rolex dials and datewheels." In the threads here and at RWG1 that miraculously becomes "aftermarket" and he never answers direct questions about the use of the term "genuine Rolex" in the threads. He also uses pics of gens and countless other scam tactics. This guy is not a dealer - he is a con artist and a thief. If someone took all his teeth out of his head with a baseball bat I would gladly pay for one and have a new pearly made out of it for my SSD.
  7. As soon as he gets "reviewed" by one of these sites he has gained some minimum level of legitimacy that should NEVER be conferred on a site replete with pictures of genuine watches and claims of "genuine grade 1 Swiss replicas" and "genuine Rolex dials and date wheels." The outright lies are too numerous to list here. But as soon as he gets reviewed, he will demand that he be removed from scam lists and the like. These two guys have been investigated for mail fraud and theft and are the worst kind of confidence men. James is trying to attack this problem straight on because he cannot change the Google results. I for one could not support any endorsement implied even by a REVIEW of a watch coming from a site so full of lies and deceptions. NO ONE who posts pics of gens stating they are part of his inventory of replicas should EVER get official acknowledgment of ANY kind from any of the major forums.
  8. Well his site says Genuine Rolex dials and datewheels but he backpedals on the threads. I did a google search of Bestswiss.com and the SECOND result is THIS: Learn about replica watches scams, scam websites to avoid and more bestswiss.com, At the time of this writing, bestswiss.com is probably one of the biggest scams ... Avoid bestswiss.com! - bestswiss.net, scam, scam, scam ... www.replica-watches-guide.com/learn-more.htm - 64k - Cached - Similar pages Explains these threads - though over at RWG1 he is saying the forums don't hurt his sales. Hehe.
  9. It's awesome. He says he has friends in Marbella Spain who he will send to break my legs. I pm'd him my address and then offered to give the final segment of his digestive track a workout with some rebar from my building site. He is evasive to say the least. But very entertaining! For this kind of thread, RWG1 can't be beat! As long as you don't spam threads, JB won't ban you for ANYTHING, much less giving a nice massage to an ass like James from Bestswiss.
  10. Well the thread on RWG1 is much more interesting than the one here ever was. See that forum is virtually unmoderated so is it a kind of romper room. I am now exchanging physical threats with "James from Bestswiss." It is the best thread we have had in ages!
  11. TO ALL RWG.cc MEMBERS: The original poster is NOT banned (nor is he likely to be anytime soon) at RWG1 (replica-watches-guide.com). If you want to have fun with him (we can use all the swear words we want over there) come on over... There has never been a better reason to join RWG1!!!
  12. Just spend 15 bucks and get the watch tested for water resistance. If the watch is tested to 50 or 100 m it will be fine for a steam bath. We are not talking about immersing it in live steam from a boiler...
  13. Well I just got done reading the comments from the voting (results still not finalized or announced yet) and it appears the admin at the radio station removed 396 votes from number 2 which resulted in an 11% drop in it its standing. They state these votes were all in violation of rules and many were made with proxies in an attempt to confuse the system. I hope it works out - I liked the song a lot. But right now it doesn't look good.
  14. got my vote Good luck from Spain!
  15. Yup. These comments about never taking a rep near water get tiresome. I advise people to get any watch, gen or rep, tested before submerging in water. Nevertheless, there are WAY many more examples of people swimming, snorkeling, and even diving with certain reps (subs, ssds, sosf, etc.) without incident than there are of people with fogged crystals. It is clear that even without testing if you have a quality rep of a diving watch you are unlikely to have any trouble with the watch. And if a watch IS tested - there is no reason whatsoever not to take it into the water. As for salt water corrosion - all dive gear (watches included) should always be submerged and rinsed very well in fresh water. Not even SS is completely impervious to sodium's corrosive effects.
  16. I haven't bought yet but will. Chris ranks tops for honesty, integrity, and quality assurance. He engages in discussions here regularly, more than ANY other dealer, so he knows what our concerns are. He is the ONLY dealer who operates a suggestion box - and he takes criticisms and suggestions seriously. Buy with confidence.
  17. I am sure it is all wrong - look at the depth ratings for starters - it is a standard SSD dial with larger markers. But it IS a DSSD rep.
  18. Are you kidding???!!! If the dealers are suck1ng each other off now, I would like to know about it! It gets pretty boring out here in rural Spain.
  19. Dry as a stale raisin and dirty to boot.
  20. I agree strongly. I don't know where people get the idea that commerce is anything other than a Darwinian affair. When dealers become too friendly with each other - THAT is when the consumer should start worrying.
  21. This could well be true. When it comes to what percentage of the market the forums members represent, the only thing we know for sure is that we know NOTHING. There is no international body that is gathering statistics on the high end replica watch market and the breakdown of its customers by association with replica discussion forums. Citing market share percentages for which there is no basis WHATSOEVER is not the stupidest thing I have seen on the forums, but it comes pretty close. All this kind of talk is the rankest type of speculation... which is all fine and good as long as people recognize that and don't start (as they often do) pretending their numbers are authoritative.
