Just finished my 5512 MBW case, lugs drilled gen spring bars, gen crown and tube (as this is my old 1680 case but marked 5513) Crown guards modded relumed the dial and tried to get the lume patchy white and brown like tritium that is starting to browm (Tribal thank you very much for the dial) Clarks T19 dome crystal New gaskets and water proof Currently on a bond style nato See when the vintage bug bites it really bites Comming soon, MBW/franken 36mm 1016

Thanks Aligoat the way i am thinking is that using gen crowns and tubes like i did on my white 1680 and the two 1665 and PMWF inserts and OFrei pearls makes what is a fun replica a pretty expensive watch in the end. I know one member has invested over €1000 in a 1680, right now i am thinking i can make a pretty good looking watch for €400 plus time and a bit of lume, I am lucky that i can do all the work myself but when you send it off for this to be modded and that, postage ect these are getting a lot of value. Any way got to go i am working on a 5512 that i want to finish before tonight

The wall on the 703s is very thin and i dont think you have enough metal there to do it, This is a thicker MBW crown, if you want one doing send me the crown an i can do it on my lathe.

I wonder if he would have realized it was a rep with out taking the case back off, if you know what to look for it is not hard to spot but if you are not expecting a rep then you would maybe not think it was.

The pin issue is one but Gens POs can also be pretty hard as well. It looks like you will have a happy rep life with a watch maker close by, you will need him from time to time, but as he is impressed then i wont be hard to get his help.
