  1. Thanks Guys any one got a spare tropic 22 laying round they are not using? or if any one in europe need one i will order a couple more clarkes ones and we can split the postage
  2. Thanks for the comparisons, but i would get the A7750 looked at with that much time loss in 24 hours, 20 seconds ok but 2 min is not in my oppion
  3. Thank you for the time you spent on this review, The FF is a very different watch to many that we see here and one that people wanted repping for some time, as you say the DSN although not a very good repliction of the gen still a very nice watch with some great heritage. it is almost a dshame that DSN did not make this as a homage as i think it would have caught more attention to the main stream. I know of one UK watch maker who made a homage to this and has made a very good watch indeed, something that DSN is also capable of. it is just unfortunate the people here obbcess about the most minute details, but then again that is why we are so knolegable here because we do notice the deail that others dont.
  4. That does sound quite expencive if that is for a simple ETA 28xx movement, if it was for an A7750 then it is still not cheep what was it that you paid $250 for?
  5. Welcome to RWG kingfisher, sit down read a bit enjoy the info.
  6. ok what you need to do is at midnight tonight make sure that your GMT hand and the hour hand are pointing at 12, then tomorrow night at midnight tell me if the are both pointing at 12 again, and then we will know that the GMT hand is slipping or not, ok?
  7. if the GMT hand is loosing time it would be too much or not enough oil in the slipping wheel(clutch) on the GMT drive, ie it was slipping when it should be sticking. This could be because it is too wet or too dry.
  8. To stop the GMT hand adjuxting i would glue the slipping gear that drives the GMT hand togehter, that is an easy fix, the beat would be the problem unless some one can tell me if the GMT parts from the 2836 can be transplanted to the 2846 slow date change may also be possibleby removing the crown date adjusting wheel and modding part of the date wheel jumper wheel, any thing is possible with the right will
  9. Looks better, i think if i get one i would mod the movement so the GMT hand is not adjustable and just follows the hour hand (at 1 rotation per day) it does say it has a silver date wheel but i looks white on the photos to me.
  10. A 45mm PO is a very good start point
  11. Any ideas guys i have to turn on out a bit, what are we looking at 0.1mm 0.2mm?????? BTW it is a 1016 MBW 36mm ex2 case with a clarks T22 crystal
  12. Nice looker you got there
  13. I know why it would be mooving to slowly but it is almost impossible for it to move to fast as it is driven from the hour hand any way.
  14. Nice one, supprised to see the glass back but hey why not!
  15. Offshore should be able to get you 7750 stems
  16. Welcome to RWG, be it historical, replica or what you, will find almost any information you may ever need to find here, and on top of that a solid comunity spirit.
  17. TJ you and Nickola are in my thoughts. Praying for the best news
  18. Nice one mate glad you finaly got it finished
  19. Dealer servicing and water proofing No i would not trust it. Work by Ziggy, vac ect then i would take that in consideration in the price. I service all my own watches these days and a it is a good couple of hours workk for an automatic but once it is done i expect 5 years of problem free opperation and that piece of mind is worth a lot when you are buying a rep.
